A man was allegedly caught this week masturbating outside the window of a 14-year-old girl in Florida, not knowing that her father is a retired NFL player.

But according to police, the suspect, identified as 48-year-old Geoffrey Cassidy, quickly realized his mistake when former Tennessee Titans and Detroit Lions cornerback Tony Beckham came charging at him outside his home in Wellington Monday morning.

Beckham, 40, tackled the alleged ‘Peeping Tom’ and held him down until police arrived at carted him off to the hospital suffering from multiple broken bones.

Cassidy's booking photo released by the local police shows the suspect with a black eye and bruises on his face.

According to a probable cause affidavit cited by the Miami Herald, Beckham’s daughter had just gotten out of the shower and was getting dressed in her bedroom when her dad spotted a man crouching outside her windows.

Beckham, who was heading to his car to go to work, said he caught Cassidy with his hands down his pants 'making motions consistent with masturbating' and with his buttocks exposed.

Beckham yelled at the stranger peering into his daughter's room, which prompted Cassidy to flee.

Beckham, who played five season in the NFL, pursued Cassidy on foot and wrestled him to the ground 50 yards away from his home.

‘I caught him at the apartment over there and we just had a good conversation,’ Beckham quipped in an interview with WPBF.

When police arrived, a bloodied Cassidy claimed that his car had broken down and that he was sitting in the bushes outside Beckham’s residence waiting for the engine to 'cool down.' However, the man refused to say where his car was and told police he was a 'transient. '

Cassidy was then taken to a hospital, where he was diagnosed with a fractured cheekbone and eye socket stemming from his encounter with the former football player.

If only he had been this effective while playing.
Perhaps then he might be better known.
I do enjoy a good citizens arrest take down resulting in broken bones.
