"Stephen Bratton, 43, has been charged with one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child.

The victim said Bratton sexually abused her starting from 2013, when she was just 13 years old. The abuse continued until in 2018, the D.A.'s Office said.

The victim said they would have sex multiple times a day or several times a week.

Bratton was a pastor for Grace Family Baptist Church. He recently stepped down from the ministry and is no longer a pastor there.

He is currently free on a $50,000 bond."

Stephen Bratton was also excommunicated by the church the following Sunday, May 19th. Therefore he is no longer a member of the church.
"... so stop calling us and leaving flaming bags of dogshit on the rectory porch."

For inquiring minds:

God I suspect would not work through a pedo.
Using that as a common reference point what can we surmise?
Every time he invoked God, it fell on deaf ears.

Additionally, every miracle he claimed to be causing would not come from God.
Why?...see 1st sentence!
So miracles were not real in this little pedo run parish nor was preaching on behalf of the Almighty.
People convinced themselves of the reality of God's power when none would have been in play.

End result.
Shut the church down and eliminate tax exemption.
Go look for God somewhere else.
Maybe the boardwalk in Jersey City or playing canasta in Florida.
Odds are about as good.

just stumbled on this one:

"Bratton publicly testified in April in support of the state's proposed abortion ban, which could have allowed women and doctors to be charged with homicide if they underwent the procedure. That level of offense can be punishable by the death penalty under Texas law.

"Whoever authorizes or commits murder is guilty," Bratton said at the hearing. "They're guilty already in a court that is far more weighty than what is here in Texas.""
