A man has posted bond and was released from jail in connection with the killing of an Orange County teenager, officials said.

Bruce Hagans' body was found last Friday, days after investigators issued an Amber Alert when he disappeared.

Now, Luis Rivera Senior, 49, is facing charges, accused of destroying evidence in the 16-year-old's death.

Court records show that Rivera has a lengthy criminal history.

Police said it started May 31 in Winter Garden when Hagans was shot and killed inside a gray Infiniti, allegedly during a drug deal.

Police said the driver then hauled off in the car, and according to police, that man is a relative of Rivera.

Winter Garden police said the Infiniti had a bullet hole in the rear window, so Rivera first took the car to a body shop to get that replaced.

The worker told police Hagans' bloody body was still in the car.

Next, Rivera and his relative allegedly moved Hagans' body to another car, then, according to court records, the Infiniti was taken to a car detail center where they paid to clean up the "blood, replacing the head rest," and that the head rest also had a bullet hole in it.

According to police, a third person helped burn Hagans' body and bury it in the Wedgefield neighborhood in East Orange County, where a tip eventually led to the discovery of Hagans' body.

Police are also working to determine what charges, if any, might be filed against the body shop that replaced the window and the detail center that cleaned up the blood.

There are way to many WTAF’s in this story starting with “lengthy criminal history and posted bail for murder”. Is this dude a millionaire or was the judge granting bail smoking crack when he set it low enough for him to get out!
