Hat tip to ghosttruck for the article and the title.
Okay, cats climb. We get it, but what motivated a bobcat to climb to the top of a utility pole. Surveying his or her kingdom? Whatever the bobcat's reasons, humans seemed to get their panties in a bunch about it, so they gathered at the pole and created a strategy to bring down the cat before it ended up on the freeway since it was positioned way above the fence that was put there to prevent just that.
Here, kitty, kitty! For some crazy reason the bobcat was spooked and decided to decline the offer of help by humans and scrambled down and scurried into the brush.
Mission accomplished! I know the biologists who had been called in to get him down were disappointed. I guess they called in biologists because the power company personnel weren't interested in dealing with a cat with claws that big.
