A Georgia toddler tragically lost her life days after being left alone in a bathtub for just a few minutes.

Eve Blankenfeld, three, died Tuesday after being unattended in the tub Friday while her mom slipped away to fold laundry in their Decatur home.

The mother returned to find the child underwater, according to CBS 11. After first responders performed CPR at the home, Eve was taken to a medical center in her hometown and then airlifted to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

Police have called the death an accident and do not plan on filing charges against her parents.

If a 3 year old can't handle a bath for a few minutes, then......

My kids all handled baths unattended from the age of 2. We'd check on them now and again, but for goodness sake, she's three. It's not like she would accidently roll over and have her face submerged and not be able to get out.

Wonder why this is considered a terrible accident while others get charged.

How can they determine how long she left the child alone?
