"Dahe Lin set upon his daughter-in-law Wen Ying He, 50, at about 8:30 a.m. March 28 in the back of the family’s home on Suydam St. near Cypress Ave. in Ridgewood, as her panicked neighbors flagged down cops.
One neighbor, a 37-year-old woman who spoke on condition of anonymity, said she was coming home when she saw Lin strangling He with a scarf. Another neighbor was standing in the street, calling police.
“We kicked him and we got him off of her and he ran inside, the neighbor recounted. “She got up, she was kind of staggering around ... He came back out with a giant kitchen knife and started stabbing her. "
Cops found Lin on top of his daughter-in-law. When they pulled him off her, they discovered her throat was slashed open, authorities said."
