Two San Francisco men [..] were arrested Monday after an argument turned into a chaotic confrontation involving a dog and a machete, Sgt. Danielle Newman said.

On Monday, the 55-year-old man who police identified as Dwain Rayne Glover [...] accompanied by his dog.
The older man, identified as Robin Hilton, reportedly brandished a machete and chased after Glover and his dog, Newman said. Glover reportedly ran into a dead end [...] charged at Hilton.
Hilton allegedly then struck both Glover and the dog with the machete, Newman said. The dog reportedly bit Hilton.
At some point, Glover was able to take the machete away from Hilton and strike him with it, Newman said.
The men sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening and were treated at the hospital before they were both arrested. The dog reportedly sustained a small laceration and is currently in the custody of Animal Care and Control.
Glover was booked on charges of aggravated assault and an outstanding warrant.
Hilton was booked on charges of aggravated assault and animal cruelty.
