Around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Paducah police officers were called to the Baptist Health Paducah Emergency Room.

A two-year-old girl had been brought to the ER with fractures to her left tibia, right femur, and the left side of her skull.

The girl’s mother was in the hospital, as she had just given birth of September 20. The girl was left in the care of the mother’s boyfriend, 30-year-old Dustin Gorham of Paducah.

Gorham’s mother brought the girl to the hospital.

Gorham said that the girl fell from a bed around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Hospital staff said a fall from a bed would not have caused those injuries.

Gorham was arrested on first-degree criminal abuse.

This is the third time Gorham has been arrested on criminal abuse of a child charges. He was arrested on the same charges in 2006 and 2016.

In 2006, Gorham was convicted of second-degree criminal abuse, for abusing a 7-month-old child. He was sentenced to five years in prison and served two years, eight months before being released on parole.

In 2016, Gorham was convicted of two counts of second-degree criminal abuse, for abusing a five-year-old child. He was sentenced to three years in prison and was paroled in June of 2017.

Well, who in the hell coulda seen THIS coming? I mean, mom had to have been BLINDSIDED, right? Bitch is blind all right...blind, stupid and crazy. And now she has a newborn and a beat up toddler to take care of all by herself. You just HAD to have a dick, didn't you? Idiot.

I guess so everyone can marvel at the sensitivity and fairness of the criminal justice system. Think about it. If there wasn't a lot of play in it there wouldn't be much need for high-priced defense attorneys.

Why give people these long jail terms if they never have to serve the whole time?
For babybeater Dustin, he is in amateur hour for suspended/actual-time-served confinements, the big leagues is Baltimore. Here's a thread from October 2017

The victim, Christopher "Chubby" Yancey, had many arrests and convictions in the 12 years before his death. All his convictions had a combined sentence time of 18 years in prison. Guess how much time he was actually locked up behind bars?

If you guess 22 days out of 18 years, you guessed right.

That is how fucked up our criminal justice sentencing system is.

A Paducah man previously convicted on three counts of child abuse has pleaded guilty again to the same offense.

Court records show 31-year-old Dustin Gorham pleaded guilty to criminal abuse of a child under 12. Circuit Judge Tim Kaltenbach sentenced him to eight years in prison as part of the plea agreement.
Gorham was charged in September with abusing a 2-year-old girl who was brought into Baptist Health Paducah with fractures to her left tibia, right femur and the left side of her skull.

Police say the child's mother was in the hospital at the time because she had just given birth, and the child was left in Gorham's care. Gorham reportedly told police the child fell from a bed, but hospital staff told police that a fall could not have caused the girl's injuries.
Gorham has been convicted of three prior counts of child abuse before his most recent arrest. In 2006 he was convicted for abusing a 7-month old and was sentenced to 5 years in prison. In 2016 he was convicted on two counts of abuse of a 5-year-old and sentenced to three years on each count. Those sentences ran concurrently. He recently completed his parole term on those charges.
