A 17-year-old girl and her 19-year-old boyfriend may be to blame for the beating death of the girl's grandparents inside their home, according to reports.

Wendy and Randall Bjorge, both 63, were found dead in their Georgia home on Saturday after out-of-state family members called police to ask them to carry out a welfare check.

The couple’s granddaughter, Cassandra Bjorge, and her boyfriend, Johnny Ryder, were reportedly barricaded inside a unit at the apartment complex in Lawrenceville Sunday morning.

According to Fox 5, Ryder also allegedly beat two of his relatives with a baseball bat late Saturday while at his mother’s house, located a mile and a half away from the murder scene.

Investigators said the assault initiated the search for the teens because a vehicle belonging to the Bjorges was found at Ryder's mother's home, according to reports.

The SWAT team was called in and the teens were apprehended after trying to commit suicide.

They were transferred to the hospital for self-inflicted wounds.

Officers reportedly attempted to contact the Bjorges at least twice during the week but were unsuccessful. After entering the home on Saturday, they found the bodies of the couple.

One was found in an upstairs bedroom while the other was found in a hallway.

"The family members hadn't heard from them in about a week, so they've been calling," Gwinnett County Officer David Smith said. "We've been out to the location before to make contact. This time, we actually entered the home."

Police said there were no signs of forced entry into the home.

Until they're charged it's "allegedly", but we all know they did it.

We've been out to the location before to make contact. This time we actually tried doing our jobs.

Useless lazy damned officers.
Hangin' around outside then buggering off is not a welfare check.
Gross incompetency.

As for the murderteens.
Harvest the usable organs and do some good with them.
Toss the rest to some bears.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Investigators said a Gwinnett County teenager and her boyfriend who killed her grandparents, also planned to kill several other people.
[....]
“She also said they were planning on killing Johnny's family and there were plans on killing her mother also,” Gwinnett County Homicide Detective Dave Brucz testified Wednesday.

Police said Cassie Bjorge told them in a taped confession, Rider backed off the plans when he spotted cars he didn't know parked in the family’s driveway.

They are accused of not only killing Wendy and Randall Bjorge in early April, but trying to kill Rider’s sister and boyfriend.

Rider’s sibling escaped, and that led to the teens' capture more than a week after the grandparents’ murders.

“She had basically had enough of her grandparents,” Brucz said.
[....]
Police say the teens used a tire iron, hammer, baseball bat and butcher knives to beat and slice the throats of the grandparents, then caulked two doors inside the home, as well as the front door, to try and seal the smell of death inside.

"Johnny began to attack the grandfather. Bjorge then said she had a surge of energy,” Brucz said. “She then dragged her grandmother into her grandfather’s bedroom. She was duct taped.”
[....]
“She admitted after the murder she was texting family members because they were worried about them, and she was pretending to be Wendy,” Brucz said

After court, Bjorge’s mother, Amanda Sterling, didn't react to hearing she was also on a hit list.

Police say while Bjorge has confessed, Rider hasn't said a word.

Two Gwinnett County teenagers pleaded guilty Friday to beating, stabbing and killing Wendy and Randall Bjorge, but only one apologized and asked for forgiveness.

“I would like to express my deepest apologies to the Bjorge family. I'm so sorry for the pain and grief I have caused all of you,” Johnny Rider, 19, said. “I know what I have done is abominable and evil and is deserving of hellfire.”

Cassandra Bjorge, 17, cried, but declined to say anything when given the opportunity, Channel 2 Action News reported. Cassandra Bjorge is the granddaughter of Wendy and Randall Bjorge. She was living in their Lawrenceville home when she and Rider, her boyfriend, beat them with tire irons, stabbed them and slit their throats.

Rider could have faced the death penalty if the case had gone to trial; Cassandra Bjorge is not eligible for the death penalty because she is not 18. Because they pleaded guilty, each was sentenced to two life sentences with the possibility of parole in 60 years, plus 21 years to be served concurrently with the life sentences.

They had been charged with murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, armed robbery and theft. The armed robbery and aggravated battery charges were dismissed.

Judge Debra Turner said the case was one of the worst she had presided over in her career.

“Your behavior lacks any sense of humanity or morality,” Turner told Rider and Cassandra Bjorge after they entered their pleas, according to Channel 2.

On the night of the killings in April 2017, Rider and Cassandra Bjorge waited outside Wendy and Randall Bjorge’s home until all the lights had been turned off. Once it was dark, they went inside. Rider began attacking Randall Bjorge with a tire iron, and Cassandra Bjorge dragged her grandmother into the same room, restraining her with duct tape and then beating her. The couple was stabbed multiple times before their throats were slit.

After the killings, Rider and Cassandra Bjorge sealed the bedroom in which the grandparents’ bodies began to decay. The bodies remained in the room for a week while the teens had food delivered, smoked marijuana and invited friends over for parties.

“I just continue to be stunned that you sealed areas so that you could make sure the smell of decay wouldn't be noticed,” Turner said. “That you had parties and ordered Chinese food.”

Police arrested Rider and Cassandra Bjorge a week after the killings occurred. The teens tried to kill themselves during a SWAT standoff, but survived the attempt and were taken into custody.

Typical— good at killing others, failures at killing themselves.
