A Bronx middle school teacher who allegedly forced himself on a 13-year-old student has been charged with rape, police said Thursday.
Jonathan Pol, 28, a teacher at the Mott Hall Community School, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at a Jacobi Hospital, where he had been committed after attempting to commit suicide, according to police.
Pol is accused of meeting the young girl after class on May 16 and May 22 and driving down in his blue Kia sedan to a secluded location near Clarence and Randall avenues, where he allegedly raped her, police sources previously told The Post.
A spokesperson for Department of Education said Wednesday the accusations were “deeply disturbing.”
