"Brian Scott Dean, 35, was taken into custody Monday in Shelby County. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office charged Dean with second-degree rape and second-degree sodomy, according to jail records.
Dean was first booked into the Shelby County Jail and then transferred to the Calhoun County Jail. He was released Tuesday after posting $30,000.
Efforts to reach Calhoun County investigators for comment were unsuccessful, but charging documents state the incidents happened between Feb. 2 and Feb. 9 and involved a female victim between the ages of 12 and 16.
