A watch found during the search of an alleged predator's bedroom possibly helped federal investigators confirm that man was their suspect, according to a federal criminal complaint.

Bobby Dominguez, 31, is charged with producing child pornography.

The San Antonio FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, which includes members of the San Antonio Police Department and the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, arrested Dominguez on Thursday.

The watch seen in some of the pornographic pictures appeared identical to the watch found in Dominguez's bedroom, according to the complaint.

The undercover operation was started Dec. 14, when an undercover officer entered a public group on a social media app.

Dominguez allegedly sent a message to the undercover officer writing that he had "access to a 6-year-old girl," according to the complaint.

Federal investigators said that Dominguez sent pornographic pictures of the child to the undercover officer Thursday, the day of his arrest.

Dominguez initially denied producing the images but later admitted to molesting the girl and producing the pornographic images, according to the complaint.

Stories like this make you realize that there are so many children out there being raped and exploited that are not protected or rescued from the abuse.

Thankfully this girl was rescued from this man and hopefully from those whi failed to protect her from him.

You know I do think about this often. If you look at the statistics it is heartbreaking and very scary. I have one kid in middle school and 2 in elementary school. At school events sometimes I find myself looking around and thinking, there's probably a few kids here who have been or are being sexually abused. I've had training on recognizing the red flags of sexual abuse, but I'm not interacting with every kid at the schools to notice them. The statistics don't lie, and even scarier they're only reflecting the known abuse.

Home schooling is the answer.

Bobby Dominguez, 35, of San Antonio was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge David A. Ezra to 30 years in prison for production of child sexual abuse material. According to court documents, Dominguez produced images of a six-year-old child performing sexual acts and sent those images over the internet.

On November 19, 2020, Dominguez pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography. He has been in federal custody since his arrest on December 27, 2018.
“Judge Ezra sentenced Dominguez to the statutory maximum sentence in this case, 30 years without parole” said U.S. Attorney Ashley C. Hoff. “The judge’s comments on how life-altering Dominguez’s callous actions are for the young victim are true. I am thankful this predator is behind bars and the healing process can begin for this child.”

Home schooling is the answer.
This can also be a good "cottage industry", too. Not everyone can afford to stay off work and school their kids, so those who can and are well suited to working with children can offer this service. There is a lot of annoying paperwork that needs to be done with home schooling, so it would be worth paying someone for sure. The person I knew who did this even provided diplomas when her high schoolers "graduated".

Homeschools aren't a great answer. Homeschools are primarily the domain of abusers and extremists. Would be much better to return schools to a state of sanity. In the absence of that, well... what a mess.
