WHAS11) -- A Louisville woman faces child abuse charges Wednesday night after police say she bit a 3-year-old.

Court records say 20-year-old Bethany Neal bit the child three times on each arm and a cheek. Neal had been staying in a home with the child and the child's mother for the past month.

Police say the mother saw the injuries and took the child to Kosair Children's Hospital.
