Forums that use BB code, like the Den, use square brackets for formatting commands. Sometimes, that gives us something like this:
If we look at the original, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat. Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate velit esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur.", we can spot a missing letter: ". . . veniam, quis nostrud . . . ." is missing the "s" at the end of "quis". I stuck square brackets around it, and the BB code renderer interpreted [s] as a strikethrough command.
There are a couple of workarounds for this. First, if you post an article and discover it's struck through, go to the part of the post where the strike starts and replace the square brackets on the "[s]" with common parentheses, writing "(s)". Second, you can find the same place and type the tags [plain] and [/plain] on either side of the "[s]". Either one works.
