What gets me is how he "pulled" it off so many times. They had a doc at my high school doing the ball grab and cough during gym class. I straight up told the dude he was a fag and not to fucking touch me. I ended up suspended and got an F in gym.

The former Miles City athletic trainer accused of sex crimes involving teenage athletes pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Missoula.

James Jensen, 79, pleaded guilty to federal charges of coercing or enticing dozens of male athletes into sexual activity through a system called “The Program,” which were sexual massages and rubdowns, which he claimed would enhance physical performance.

Jensen had initially been set to plead guilty in February in Billings, but a judge ordered prosecutors to compile more evidence. Defense attorneys then asked the hearing be moved to another court. U.S. District Judge Dana Christensen presided.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 30 in Billings federal court before U.S. District Judge Susan Watters.

Jensen was a trainer at Custer County High School in the 1970s through about 1998. Victims said he would take them in for treatment under the guise of enhancing performance, but instead digitally penetrate or perform oral sex on them.

Prosecutors said Jensen admitted in a September 2018 interview the basic tenets of “The Program,” saying he got information to implement it from the internet.

A relative of Jensen’s told law enforcement of seeing printouts of “The Program,” and another witness said Jensen was seen online deceptively attempting to contact minors, particularly boys, by creating a false identity.

While Jensen said in court Tuesday that he did not recall where some of the sexual incidents took place, he did admit to keeping a log of boys in “The Program.”

So he wanted to plead guilty and a judge said, "no, there needs to be more evidence!"

What the fuck?
Seems like good strategy. The judge wants the opportunity to throw the book at him. The judge wanted an airtight case so the guilty plea would stick. Coach Perv could plead guilty on fewer charges as a ploy. They don't want him to have a chance of reduced sentence on appeal.

Also because the statute of limitations ran out on the state charges, so the federal sentence will have to do.

Jesus, these pervs have the lamest rationalizations.

District Judge Michael Hayworth sentenced James Jensen to 20 years in prison on two counts of sexual assault for the possession of child pornography. In addition to sexually abusing over 100 male student-athletes while an athletic trainer at Custer County High School, pornographic images of underage boys were also found on Jensen's personal computer.

"Every time somebody looks at these photos, they are victimized once again," says Custer County Attorney Wyatt Glade, "While they may not have been victimized to the level by Mr. Jensen that our local victims were when he was at Custer County District High School, they were victimized nonetheless."

Jensen will serve this additional time after completing his 12-year federal sentence.

"These are young impressionable boys and he promised them he'd make them better at sports, he'd make them better with the ladies, if they would simply allow him to touch them," Glade continues.

The court characterized Jensen as a level 3 high-risk sexually violent offender.
