Arrest Made In Chesterfield Mother's Domestic Violence Death, Her Baby Needs Special Formula

Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of a mother killed Monday evening in Chesterfield County.

Barbie Mirella Perez was shot and killed in front of her family's home on Shady Creek Road around 6 p.m. on Monday, police confirmed. Her family also identified the 28-year-old mother to CBS 6.

Police identified the suspect as 33-year-old Javonte Blackston, who fled the scene before police arrived.

Perez and Blackston were known to each other, police said, and the dispute appears to be domestic in nature

Perez leaves behind a 3-month-old daughter.

The infant is in need of a specific Similac baby formula (pictured in link).
