A woman berated by her mother for having a second child without a stable job and relationship killed the boy and threw his corpse into a rubbish dump, police say.

Anna Karimova, 26, is accused of strangling her nine-month-old son to death before putting his body in a black bin liner and throwing it in a garbage container.

Karimova then went to see a friend to give the boy's pram, clothes and toys away, claiming the baby had tragically died, investigators from Russia's Volgograd region say.

The young woman had previously been married, with the ceremony taking place in 2015, but the couple separated a short time later, it is reported.

Karimova also has an older daughter, aged two, who is being raised by her mother.

The older woman did not approve of Karimova's lifestyle, police said, and argued with her about 'having a baby without the means to support the child'.

She was also angry at Karimova for failing to hold down a 'stable relationship' with a job and portrayed her as a 'bad mother', it was claimed.

After strangling the boy Karimova is accused of going to a local shop where she bought a 160-litre black bin liner as well as food because she was hungry.

She put the boy in the black bag and threw the corpse in the garbage before going to her friend's house, where she was described as 'composed'.

Police are still looking for the body at a municipal tip in he city of Frolovo where skips are dumped.

Karimova has been detained and will be charged with the boy's murder.

I wish grandma would have kept the baby boy. At least he'd still be alive. She seems to have tried helping by taking the older child...the two year old. In her efforts to make her daughter grow up and accept her responsibilities...little baby boy suffered and dies.
