A Choctaw County mother pleaded guilty to child abuse.
Court records show Katherine Duncan pleaded guilty to two counts of child abuse by injury.

Court records said the house they lived in was littered with garbage and feces.

Sawyer Police Chief John Jones says the alleged abuse was reported by the oldest child's school.
"We got called to the Fort Towson School last Thursday and the kid had missed school for about a week and shows up with bruising around the face area," Jones said.
Jones says authorities agreed the injuries appeared to be from abuse.
"DHS was contacted. They came out and brought a nurse out and she also agreed that it looked like abuse to her. So at that point we began an investigation. We talked to the kids, some cousins and the parents. These are all kids under the age of 5," Jones added.
Chief Jones and Choctaw County deputies performed a search warrant at Duncan's house.
"We were told that the child was beat with certain items.....burned with items and beat with items," Jones said.
Jones says law enforcement has been called to Duncan's home on multiple occasions before.
"There's a pretty lengthy history of domestic and also drug use at the house."
At this time Duncan faces two counts of child abuse by injury but more charges could be filed due to the condition of the home.
Jones says the house was not suitable for any child to live in.
"We saw trash, human feces and dog feces," Jones exclaimed.
Those children are now in the care of other family members.
