Adam Mock, 37, was reported missing by his wife, Courtney, to Waxahachie Police after he unexpectedly left his home Feb. 26.
Waxahachie Police Lt. Todd Woodruff stated the last confirmed contact with Mock was by his wife. All indications, at this time, show that Mock left the residence on his own volition.
“His relatives are concerned about his wellbeing as this is uncharacteristic of him to just leave like this. Also troubling is that he left his wallet and cellphone before disappearing,” Woodruff said. “It’s not a crime for someone to leave on their own, but we want to make sure that Mr. Mock is ok.”
Mock was last driving a white 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 dually pickup truck with no tailgate. He was last seen wearing jeans with a light-colored T-shirt. Mock is six-foot tall and weighs about 210 pounds.
Mock posted a cryptic message at 4:26 p.m. Feb. 26 on his personal Facebook page. In the post, he blamed his wife for his leaving, stating she was the reason why his kids were going to grow up fatherless. It concluded with the word “Goodbye.”

“We don’t know what was going on in his brain when all of this happened, but it does not appear to be planned,” Childs said. “There has been no indication of anything that we have seen because he did not take anything personal with him when he left. It appears that he just walked out.”
Childs continued, stating the family does not know of anyone Mock had trouble with or would want to cause him harm. She noted that members of homeland security were working with police due to Mock’s past work as a government and state employee.
Childs encourages anyone with information to come forward and talk to police about the matter. She noted at time family members have been working to provide support to Mock’s wife and two children.
“The main thing is that we want him to come home to the kids and his family. We want him safe. We hope that wherever he is that he is still alive and that will get to come back to his family,” Childs explained. “We do hope he realizes we do miss him and love him. We want him to be safe above everything else. We want him home.”
Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact Woodruff with the Waxahachie Police Department at 469-309-4400. If you have information, but would like to remain anonymous, please contact Crime Stoppers of Ellis County at 972-937-7297.
