An Abilene woman and her husband are out of jail on bond after police say she choked her autistic son with bungee cords until he turned blue.
Danielle Renee Tankersley, 38, and Jimmy Don Tankersley, 41, are charged with injury to a child.
According to the arrest report, Danielle's 12-year-old son threw a fit Sunday evening after his ball ended on top of a car.
Police say Jimmy slapped the boy.
Danielle then tied him up with a bungee cord and sat him on the porch swing.
She told her son not to get up or she would wrap the cords around his neck and choke him, according to the report.
When he got up, police say Danielle put the cords around his neck and pulled them until he turned blue.
