According to the Log Cabin Democrat, an Arkansas couple is facing charges after a Conway Corporation employee reportedly found a young child locked in a room with bowls of water and Cheetos.

Reports state that police believe two children at the home were possibly sexually abused after speaking with the couple and finding drug paraphernalia and sexual aids that were within reach of the one and two-year-old children.

On Thursday, officers with the Conway Police Department went to the home after the Conway Corp. employee alerted them that a one-year-old child was locked in a bedroom.

According to an affidavit, "officers attempted to make contact for several minutes and finally James Shaw answered the door. Officers requested to see the children and Shaw went to the bedroom door which had a latch locking it from the outside."

The two-year-old was found in the room that was locked from the outside. Police then requested that a Department of Human Services representative come to the scene. The DHS worker helped conduct a home inspection and found dog bowls on the floor of the room that the two-year-old was locked in. According to the affidavit, one of the bowls was filled with water and the other contained Cheetos.

Officials found the one-year-old child in a separate bedroom with 26-year-old Chelsie Vajentic. Authorities noted that there were drug paraphernalia and sexual aids in the room "within reach of the child."

DHS took custody of the children and the couple was arrested on suspicion of endangering the welfare of a minor.

As he was arrested, Shaw reportedly became adamant that he needed to use his computer immediately “to conduct speed tests for work.” However, after police reached out to the man’s employer, they learned the 28-year-old “had already taken a personal day and had no reason to log onto his computer.”

An officer gave the one-year-old animal crackers as the investigation continued, and the child reportedly "began to rip the face off one of the cookies and put it between the legs of her teddy bear."

"I have reason to believe, to the observed conduct of the children and the living conditions, there is a high probability that they are also being exposed to sexual abuse," Detective Taylor Worley said. “Also, due to James' urgency to get onto his computer, there is potential evidence on the computer that confirms the abuse.”

I want to say he's about as slick as seventeen miles of gravel road.

"During a search warrant, authorities found multiple cell phones, glass pipes, a jar of suspected marijuana, a grinder, vape pens, sex toys, a laptop, a hard drive, a flash drive, a computer, and a "Wedding Crashers DVD."

And a partridge in a pear tree.

Hope they "accidentally" stick those fuckwads in a cell with the most violent and deranged sex offender that's in there for life and next day find the cell looking like something straight out of that motel in From Dusk til Dawn...

A utilities worker notified the police about the family.

He must have been looking to upgrade his internet for the child porn.
Chelsie Vajentic and James Shaw were arrested Thursday and posted bond later that day.

They deny any claims the children were in danger.

"We are being falsely accused of sexually abusing my one-year-old daughter," Vagentic said. "Just wait and see, I know I’m innocent."

Police say they were alerted by a Conway Corp. employee there might be a child locked in a bedroom at the couple's home on Stout St.

When they arrived, they found a two-year-old child locked in a room from the outside.

Reports say a Department of Human Services representative found dog bowls filled with water and Cheetos on the floor.

Vagentic says those claims are not true and the locks were installed on the outside of the door for her son's safety.

"Am I not supposed to protect my child? He’s climbed out of the window and went to my neighbors house before," she said.

Officials say they also found a one-year-old girl in a separate bedroom with Vajentic.

Drug paraphernalia and sex toys were allegedly found within reach of that child.

But Vegintic's boyfriend James Shaw argues the sex toys weren't accessible.

"The one-year-old was in a playpen, she could not reach out," he said. "They were on a bedside table from our time the night before."

Police say after observing the living conditions and behavior of the children, authorities became concerned the children may have been sexually abused.

"The moment we found out that was their concern, we encouraged them to do the investigation and make sure the kids are fine," Shaw said.

The children's mother admits her daughter had a black eye, but claims the injury was caused by a babysitter earlier in the week.

She says she's doing everything she can to get her children back home.

"Mama loves you, you’re coming home babies," she said.

The couple says the children are currently in custody of the Department of Human Services.

During a search warrant, authorities found multiple cell phones, glass pipes a jar of suspected marijuana and sex toys.

They probably still have a DCFS case against them for the one child being locked in the room and the other child near drug paraphernalia that could contain residue.
