2yo exposed to fentanyl, meth- It's a miracle the child survived after coming into contact with those drugs

A woman has been charged after her 2-year-old child came in contact with drugs.

Dec. 10, police were called to a home when officers arrived, first responders were already on the scene giving the 2-year-old CPR.

The mother of the child, 40-year-old Ashley Parr, told officers she fell asleep on the couch with the child who was also sleeping across her lap.

When Parr woke up and rolled the child over, she said the child was not breathing properly and was gasping for breath. That’s when she went across the street for help.

The child was taken to the hospital.

While officers were investigating the scene, they found drug paraphernalia and suspected illegal substances.

When testing the items, medical reports of the child indicated the child consumed or came into contact with methamphetamine and fentanyl. Both of those drugs were found in the child’s bloodstream.

The child was able to recover from the incident and was returned to other family members, according to police.

Police also said the drugs were some of the most dangerous drugs on the street and it was a miracle the child survived after coming into contact with those drugs.
