An 11-year-old girl boasted of smoking cigarettes and drinking booze on the Strip, and she told men she was a prostitute, according to police.

Now the 40-year-old woman prosecutors allege brought the girl to Las Vegas is charged with sex trafficking and child abuse.

In a brief court appearance Friday morning, Gigi Mitchell clasped her hands at her waist and choked back tears as Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Harmony Letizia told Mitchell she faces a preliminary hearing next month on seven felony charges.

The girl, who admitted to drinking and smoking with Mitchell in casinos, has been taken in by child protective services.

Metropolitan Police Department officers working at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in the early morning hours of March 2 spotted Mitchell and the girl approaching men in the casino, while the girl wore a “tight-fitting” white floral dress and black high heels, according to an arrest report.

When the two were initially questioned by police, they gave what officers believed were “rehearsed” answers, the report said.

The girl, identified in the arrest report as “victim 1,” told police that she and Mitchell had driven to Las Vegas from Arizona around the time of the Super Bowl in early February and had stayed at various hotels along the Strip.

After Mitchell allowed police to review her phone, investigators found a photo of male genitals that she sent to the girl. She denied sending the photo.

On the girl’s cellphone, police found various messages with men that appeared to be “prostitution related.” In her purse, they found two condoms.

The report detailed various sexually explicit conversations the girl had with an unidentified man, with whom she apparently had engaged in sex acts.

In one, the man mentioned a desire to marry the girl.

“Tyna (thought you’d never ask) come on now I’m not marry type material,” she replied.

He responded: “Why u say that LMFAO”

The girl wrote back: “Cuz ima prostitute LMAO”

The messages appeared to indicate that Mitchell was aware that the girl had sex with the man.

So, I live in Nevada where we have legal brothels. The closest are about 9 miles from me, Kit Kat, Sagebrush, and Hof's Bunny Ranch. Recent arrivals have been buying gorgeous view property, only to realize a fragment of their view includes an industrial park with three brothels. They are incensed that anyone approaching their domain will see signs for the brothels, and some claim religious offense. They have led legal attacks in the county and state painting brothels as centers of sex trafficking, but failed in both attempts. Many of the women are actually college students paying tuition.

This was about the stupidest place to do this. While a crowd might help one go unnoticed, the Strip is also where the police are generally the most active. You might succeed a while just due to the bystander effect, but you are 100% going to get rolled by the cops if you're running the Strip like that.

Also what kind of goddamn moron texts an underage prostitute?! You might as well hold up a huge neon sign saying "HEY POLICE, COME GET ME I'M RIGHT HERE".

So they got popped for approaching men, but nobody questioned an 11 year old walking around the casino smoking and drinking? How long had this been going on before officers finally said WTF? Imean, the Superbowl was 4 months ago!
She could of had a fake ID for the alcohol. I just imagine her all dressed up with lots of make up, big hair and sparkles. She probably blended right in.

The guy offering to marry her may have thought she was 18+

A woman accused of trafficking an 11-year-old girl on the Strip has agreed to plead guilty to a child abuse charge, her attorney said Tuesday.

Gigi Mitchell, 40, faces several counts of child abuse and one count of child sex trafficking.

The girl told social worker Felicia Tucker that she was a “hustler” and entered nightclubs, where she drank and flirted with men, according to previous testimony in Las Vegas Justice Court.

Mitchell’s attorney, Deputy Public Defender Mike Feliciano, said in court Tuesday that Mitchell will plead guilty to a single child abuse charge when her case is heard in District Court.

The defendant briefly spoke to Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Harmony Letizia and acknowledged that she understood her charges.

In an earlier hearing, Tucker told Letizia that the girl said she sold “flower pens” to men she and Mitchell encountered but denied having sex with them. She said she would accompany Mitchell and men to hotel rooms and play on her phone while Mitchell gave the men massages.

On the girl’s cellphone, police found various messages with men that appeared to be prostitution-related. In her purse, they found two condoms and three pens.

Religious nuts all over have just been encouraged by idiots who won’t make a cake for a gay couple.

Freedom of religion includes MY freedom from YOUR religion.

A woman was sentenced Tuesday to up to six years behind bars after prosecutors accused her of using an 11-year-old girl as a prop while prostituting on the Strip.

Gigi Mitchell, who pleaded guilty in August to one count of child abuse, neglect or endangerment via sexual exploitation, also must register as a sex offender after she completes her prison term. She entered a type of guilty plea that required her to admit only that prosecutors had enough evidence to convict her.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Sam Martinez said Mitchell used the girl “to flirt with, get access to tricks, to go back to their rooms, to have sexual contact.”

Mitchell would follow the men to their hotel rooms, the prosecutor said, while leaving the girl inside the casino parking garage alone for hours at a time.

“This behavior is unconscionable,” Martinez said. “And to this day, she has refused to take any sort of responsibility.”

After Mitchell’s arrest in March, the girl told a social worker that she was a “hustler,” admitting that she drank and flirted with men in Strip casinos, smoked cigarettes and entered nightclubs with Mitchell.

Mitchell begged District Judge Mary Kay Holthus for probation, saying she had been “selling flower pens” with the girl, while denying that she did anything to hurt the girl.

“With God as my witness, I would never do such a thing,” Mitchell said.

The girl, who has since been taken in by Child Protective Services, also told authorities she sold “flower pens” to men they encountered in casinos for anywhere from $10 to $1,500, but she denied having sex with them.

On the girl’s cellphone, police found various messages with men that appeared to be prostitution-related. In her purse, they found two condoms and three pens.
