The man accused of killing a 1-year-old Léon Chehin-Merryman by throwing him against a wall has pleaded guilty to aggravated murder.

Nicholas Catazaro, 27, now faces a potential sentence of life in prison with his first opportunity for parole at 25 years, according to a plea agreement made between Catazaro’s attorneys and the Portage County Prosecutor’s Office.

When the mother called 911 she said the child had been suffering from a fever for two days.

That baby was probably slowly dying from the abuse he was subjected to.

The truth of what this excuse for a man and what the mother knew will probably never be known.

Twenty-seven-year-old Nicholas Catazaro was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to an aggravated murder charge last month in northeast Ohio's Portage County. He's eligible for parole after 25 years.
