Comedian and popular podcaster Theo Von wasn’t joking when he grabbed a man by the throat who was reportedly harassing him at a Nashville bar — in a wild confrontation caught on video.

In the footage, obtained by TMZ, a man holding a bouquet of golden birthday balloons approaches Von, 45, from behind at The Twelve Thirty Club in the Tennessee capital on May 2.

The man can be seen grabbing the comic’s shoulder as he’s standing with a group of friends by the bar.

The two then exchange words, which are inaudible in the video, before the “This Past Weekend” podcast host loses his cool and lunges at the man, according to the footage.

Von then grabs him by the neck and shoves him away, the wild clip shows.

Von, who seems like he just wanted to be left alone, then fixes his hat and stares the man down as they have another brief back and forth.

The man with the balloons was with a group of people who had been repeatedly harassing the stand-up, sources with knowledge of the incident told TMZ.

The group had told him they were trying to mess with him on camera, the outlet reported.
