According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Kaylee Jill Esckilsen, 20, was taken into custody by members of the agency’s Animal Cruelty Task Force and ICAC Task Force.
The arrest followed an investigation by the Special Victims Unit, which they say revealed that Esckilsen had two dogs, a cur and a dachshund, in her home and engaged in sexual acts with at least one of the animals.
Detectives say the bestiality occurred within her residence and were recorded on video.
Esckilsen faces charges of sexual activities involving animals and producing pornographic images or videos involving animals.
Both dogs were removed from the home and are now being cared for by Lee County Domestic Animal Services.
The sheriff’s legal team has filed a petition to gain custody of the dogs until a rescue placement can be arranged.
