A former Maumee foster parent and former Springfield Township firefighter has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison with lifetime supervision upon release after pleading guilty to charges related to child sexual abuse materials.
Jeremy Dean Chesser, 42, was convicted in July 2024 after pleading guilty to two counts of sexually exploiting minors by means of producing child sexual abuse materials and one count of receipt and distribution of child pornography.
Authorities said Chesser sexually exploited a 2-year-old child in 2022 and produced explicit material of the toddler.

He also sexually exploited a second minor, aged 13-14, from 2022 to 2023. Investigators said he posed as a 16-year-old boy online and convinced the minor that they were in a relationship before inducing the child to take and send explicit images.

A federal search warrant executed at Chesser’s residence led to the seizure of his cellphone, which contained a large volume of child sexual abuse materials involving 65 other minors. Investigators determined Chesser had been receiving and distributing child pornography for more than a decade.
Chesser was a father to 10 children, including biological, adopted and foster children, and a foster parent at the time of his arrest in August 2023, according to authorities.

While I wish we could (or would) give these people the death sentence, or life at very least, it's nice to see 30 years and lifetime supervision.
I hope they're speaking to all of his kids, making sure they're not victims as well. Was this victim one of his?
Ugh, I hate to see that teens are STILL falling for online catfishes. I guess that's something that will never stop. Kids who are lonely or feel left out for not having a boyfriend/girlfriend will excuse red flags. Hate they had to learn this lesson the hard way.

:vomit:

From a local news site:
“You’re lucky you have this plea agreement, because I’d be looking to stack you in some way so you’d have a life sentence,” U.S. District Judge James R. Knepp II told Jeremy Dean Chesser

He will be in his 70's when he is released which can still make him a danger.

I hope none of his biological children allow any of their children to be around him ever.
You're 100% right. They NEVER stop being a danger, even if they're paralyzed, their freedom is a risk to their victims wellbeing.
And unfortunately, sometimes kids will idealized a parent, sometimes even if they were the victims, and choose to be around the abuser.
My ex (I mentioned their family recently here - the man turned his wife in for CP and she sa'd some of the kids - they were this ex's parents) and I broke up because I refused to have that woman in my life. I refused for it to be possible for this bitch to have even a photo of any child I may have. I was with this person for 8 years, I saw the effects this evil, and her release, had on the family. Having my own experiences with abuse, I made it clear that would pluck her eyeballs out before I would let one get a glimpse of my child. Without mental health help, sometimes victims can become brainwashed. It's insane. The siblings let this woman around their kids! Lets her watch them!
Within 5 years of her release, 3 of her children, including my ex, were dead from OD (at least one a suicide). Meanwhile that bitch is living her best life.
There should never be a release date. Their victims are never released from the pain, so they shouldn't be released from their cells.
Sorry for the personal rant. Your comment gave me flashbacks to that time.

I'm thinking life and 30 years supervision after release...
