A Pennsylvania teenager reported missing in Queens nearly two months ago had filed an assault complaint against a Harlem man before she vanished — and cops believe the attacker could be her pimp.

On Aug. 25, the 32-year-old assailant, who has multiple arrests for promoting prostitution, had stolen $300 from 19-year-old Corinna Slusser while she was in the shower. When she demanded the money back, he allegedly grabbed her by the neck and pushed her against the wall, according to court papers.

Slusser, who relatives believe is a victim of sex trafficking, reported the brutality to police, and cops arrested her suspected pimp on Aug. 28, charging him with strangulation and criminal obstruction of breathing.

The Daily News is withholding the man’s name since he may play an integral role in solving Slusser’s disappearance.

Relatives in Pennsylvania reported Slusser missing on Sept. 12, after she didn’t go to her grandfather’s funeral in Florida.

The avid social media user hasn’t posted anything online since Sept. 10, when she put up a photo of herself tagged in the Bronx.

Relatives said Slusser met her pimp in March — who she called “her daddy” — and moved out to New York to live with him.

Slusser first told relatives that someone had stolen her ID and she couldn’t travel to Florida to go to the funeral. She also seemed terrified and said she had wanted to come home but had no money for a bus ticket.

No one in the family has heard from Slusser since that point, said one relative, who wished not to be named.

The NYPD quickly confirmed the family’s suspicions — Slusser had been roped into the sex trade.

Cops warned the family against putting too much out about her disappearance on social media.

“Make no mistake, one move and she will be disposed of in one of two ways,” police told relatives. “Either she’ll be killed or moved.”

Investigators have made a break in the case of a Pennsylvania college student who went missing in New York City a year ago, arresting a man they say sex trafficked her.

Ishi Woney, 23, was arrested on Wednesday in New Jersey on federal sex trafficking charges, which relate to the September 2017 disappearance of Corinna Slusser in Queens.

Now the FBI says that Corinna, then just 19 years old, was staying at a seedy motel in the Bronx that is known for prostitution, where Woney met her soon after she arrived.

Woney, an aspiring rapper, was already sex trafficking another female victim when he met Corinna, according to the FBI. The other female victim called Woney 'daddy' in social media messages.

Her last Instagram post, dated September 10, was a photo tagged in The Bronx.

It shows a woman smoking what appears to be marijuana with the caption: 'cyphin mid day mid road is always good for the soul.'

It appears to be a friend in the picture, not her, and is unlike any images she has posted before.

Investigators say that Corinna met Woney sometime in September, and records show a flurry of text messages between the two beginning on September 10.

Investigators say that Woney posted an online advertisement offering 'two girl special nunu enterprises' along with a photo of Corinna and the other female victim.

'Always ready for fun! Please Be RESPECTFUL & Discreet the TOTAL package SKILLS That will make you melt,' the ad read, according to the indictment.

But things became tense when the other female victim became jealous of Woney's relationship with Corinna, investigators say.

Woney and Corrina had a falling out, and on September 20 he took her to a hotel in Queens, where another man paid for the room where she was planning to stay that night, the indictment says.

The sobbing mother of a missing Pennsylvania girl ensnared in a Bronx-based prostitution ring pleaded with her daughter’s pimp to reveal the girl’s whereabouts before he was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Tuesday — prompting the procurer to blurt out that he has no idea.

He faced up to life behind bars, but Schofield on Tuesday cited Woney’s extensive mental health issues — including a diagnosis of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia — before handing down her sentence of 15 years behind bars.

Woney was arrested in 2018 on charges he trafficked Slusser and others, including a minor and a mentally disabled woman with the IQ of a third-grader, according to court papers.

“This is a very serious offense,” the judge said. “Hopefully you can get the kind of medical care you need.”

“Where is Corinna?” Sabina Tuorto implored Manhattan federal Judge Lorna Schofield of her missing child, Corinna Slusser, ahead of admitted sex trafficker Ishi Woney’s sentencing.

“Is she dead or alive? Who is the last person he handed her off to?” Tuorto wept. “Please, Ishi, disclose where my child is.”

Schofield began to explain that she couldn’t force Woney to answer any questions, but was cut off when he suddenly stood up and began speaking.
“Honestly, I don’t know,” the 24-year-old said of Slusser’s location. “I never passed her off to anybody.”

“Is she dead or alive? I’m honestly not sure, but I pray she’s alive,” he told Tuorto.

Slusser, then 19, was last seen in September 2017 outside the Haven Motel in Rego Park, Queens.

Mystery of a small-town former cheerleader who fell victim to NYC sex ring

When an older man promised 18-year-old Corinna Slusser a new life in the Big Apple, the former cheerleader left her small town on the banks of the Susquehanna River and told her mom back home not to worry.

But after the teen’s arrival in New York City, she was swiftly ensnared in a Bronx sex-trafficking ring.

Her images were splashed across the Web in advertisements for paid sex, and her body was sold in seedy hotel rooms by a notorious pimp accused of beating up his workers and stealing their money.

Still, the horrors that Slusser suffered at the hands of the pimp and a convicted sex-trafficker would pale in comparison to what her mother and victim advocates fear happened next.

Fewer than two months after the teen arrived in Gotham in 2017, she vanished without a trace from a Queens motel where rooms are rented by the hour — and Slusser’s stricken mom, Sabina Tuorto, says she is still no closer to tracking down her child.

“My biggest fear is that I’ll never get closure, that I’ll never know what happened to her,” Tuorto told The Post in a tearful recent interview.

The mom got to confront her daughter’s sex trafficker in an emotional courtroom showdown at one point but was still left without answers.

“Is she dead or alive? Who is the last person he handed her off to?” a weeping Tuorto said in a heart-wrenching victim-impact statement at trafficker Ishi Woney’s 2019 sentencing.

“Please, Ishi, disclose where my child is.”

The then-24-year-old convict unexpectedly blurted out, “Honestly, I don’t know.’’

Woney is now behind bars, as is one of Slusser’s alleged other pimps, who was sentenced last month to two years in prison for promoting prostitution and drugs.

But neither man has been charged in connection with Slusser’s disappearance, and Tuorto is terrified her daughter’s case is a mystery that will never be solved.

“It’s been four years,’’ the mother noted.

Details of Disappearance

In 2017, Slusser dropped out of Bloomsburg Area High School one class short of graduation and moved in with living with friends in her hometown of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. She didn't get along with her mother and hoped to move in with her aunt in Massachusetts in January 2017.

In the summer of 2017, she met a man named Yhovanny Peguero, who told her he could give her a place to stay in New York City. She traveled to New York in July, taking only her cellular phone and identification; she didn't even take any extra clothes.
After her arrival she kept in touch with her family and friends, contacting them on a near-daily basis. She indicated everything was going well, but after her later disappearance, her family found out she'd been working as a prostitute, advertising on the internet to get clients.

At 1:00 a.m. August 25, Slusser called 911 from the Harlem Vista Hotel in Manhattan and said Peguero, a man whom she identified as her pimp and called "daddy", had stolen $300 from her and that when she confronted him, he grabbed her by the throat, choked her and slammed her against the wall. When police arrived at the scene, she was still very upset, shaking and crying.
Peguero was arrested and charged with harassment, third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. A temporary order of protection against him was issued by the court on Slusser's behalf. When her family in Pennsylvania found out about the attack, she downplayed it and told them there was nothing to worry about.
In September, Slusser's grandfather died, and Slusser agreed to go to his funeral in Florida, but a day later she called her mother and said her Social Security card and driver's license had been stolen and so she couldn't fly. She did, however, want to return home to Pennsylvania.

Slusser's mother went to Florida for the funeral on September 19, and Slusser was supposed to arrive home in Pennsylvania the next day, but her mother wasn't able to get in touch with her, and upon her return, she found out Slusser had ever arrived in Pennsylvania. Her mother reported her missing.
Although Slusser's family last heard from her on September 20, according to her family, she was last seen in the early morning hours of September 20, leaving the Haven Motel on Woodhaven Boulevard by 68th Avenue in the Rego Park neighborhood of Queens. Slusser had been very active on social media prior to her disappearance, but after September 20 all her posts stopped completely.

Investigators believe Slusser passed through the control of several pimps. In November 2018, Ishi Colin Woney, one of Slusser's pimps, was charged with sex trafficking a woman named only as Victim 1.
The prosecution alleges that between September 2017 and November 2018, Woney used coercion, force and fraud to force Victim 1 to engage in sex acts for money, and brought her to different states, including New York, for this purpose. He also bought online ads promoting prostitution, some of which featured Slusser alongside Victim 1 and offered a "two girl special."
Between September 10 and September 20, the day Slusser disappeared, she exchanged over 800 text messages with Woney. They reportedly had an argument on September 20, because Victim 1 was upset about his relationship with Slusser. Woney said he would take Slusser to another hotel and give her to another man. She was never seen again.

A photo of Woney is posted with this case summary. In May 2019, he reached a plea agreement with the prosecution, pleading guilty to four of the five charges against him. He was sentenced to fifteen years in prison. At his sentencing, Slusser's mother asked him where she was and if she was alive, and Woney replied, "Honestly, I don't know. I never passed her off to anybody. Is she dead or alive? I'm honestly not sure, but I pray she's alive."
Slusser's disappearance remains unsolved.

I feel for the mother and am not faulting her but I question why she did not go get her daughter or send someone she trusted to go get her when she said she wanted to return home.

At this point it would be safe to assume that she is no longer alive - Hopefully the family will get some closure.
