Eyedrops contain a chemical called tetrahydrozoline, which if consumed can cause heart rhythm abnormalities, a dangerously slow heart rate, low blood pressure, and breathing problems that can turn life-threatening, according to
Poison Control.
On Tuesday Zantjer was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail on two counts of administering harmful substances and two counts of domestic abuse assault – injury or mental illness first offense. Zantjer remains behind bars on a $12,000 cash/surety bond.
