The incident is detailed in a criminal complaint that states Billie Sue Vandyke fell asleep for about two hours at a home along Alex Lane in Justice, West Virginia.

When she woke up, the criminal complaint states Vandyke found her 3-year-old lying on the bed and she could not wake him up.

Vandyke told troopers there was a container of THC gummies in the room with the toddler and that she found the container open on the floor with gummies spilling out.

She also said one of the THC gummies appeared to have been half eaten.

Law enforcement who observed the toddler while at the medical center said the 3-year-old was in a comatose state.

According to the criminal complaint, the troopers later learned each of the THC gummies were 350mg.

Vandyke has been charged with child neglect resulting in injury.
The victim is currently responsive, but still hospitalized and listed in stable condition.

She looks thoroughly inconvenienced by her comatose toddler.
It looks and sounds like her defense is "my dumb kid ate the drugs (that I left open and accessible within his space, while I took a nap), so it can't possibly be my fault"

Watch for similar statements such as "he's always eating stuff he shouldn't", "he sneaks food all the time", "I can't watch him every minute of the day", and "I told him not to but he never listens to me" !

I'm not up on my gummy knowledge but 350mg sounds like a lot. Are we talking about horse tranquilizer levels of THC gummies? Or are these your average "heading out w friends, might want to get a little goofy" dosage?

Just looked it up. Maximum adult thc dose is 40 mg per day.

I'm guessing with what @Future_Milf said, that 350mg would be close enough to horse tranquilizer level for a toddler, at least. I don't partake in THC, so I don't know, because I'm afraid it will affect me the same way that other tranquilizers do, I get sick with vertigo and puking every time I take them.

Sorry to hear that. For me, it just made me paranoid and terrified, with no physical or mental buzz. Any updates on the kid?

50 MG is more than plenty for most.
I ate a 500 MG one for severe joint pains once, slept for 14 hours straight thru, woke up to pee then "napped" another 3 hours.
Irresponsible slags like her are why so many are dead set against re-legalizing weed and its derivatives nationwide.
Thank God she didn't have superdomes at 1000 MG each...

Her Christmas top has a massive gaping head hole in it.
Then contrast that with her mini-mouth.
She looks slapdash, likely lives that way too

I take half of a 100 mg gummy per day. 25 mgs when I get home and my back has literally been screaming at me all day, and 25 mgs before I try to sleep for the night. 350 mgs would knock me on my ass! :dead:

Maybe I should do that one weekend, so I can get some real sleep? :woot:
