Sentenced: Lancaster Man Accused Of Throwing 2YO Child Onto Shoulder Of Route 30

A man is wanted by police in Lancaster County for allegedly throwing a young child onto the side of a road.

Manheim Township police are looking for Tyree Berry, 34.

Police said Berry threatened to kill a woman Sunday as they were driving on Route 30 West. The woman pulled over to flag down other motorists for help, police said.

According to police, Berry tried to remove a 2-year-old child from the back seat and bit the woman’s finger when she attempted to stop him.

Berry was eventually able to grab the child, police said, and he threw the toddler onto the shoulder of the highway.

Berry is charged with child endangerment, simple assault and terroristic threats.

Plane makes emergency landing on Route 422

Exeter Fire and Police officers were called to Route 422 to direct traffic after a small plane had to make an emergency landing.
