Griffin Police report that a 4-year-old boy that was shot last week has died after being treated at a Macon hospital.
On February 3, police responded to a shooting and found a 4-year-old boy shot.
He was taken to Atrium Health Navicent and listed in critical condition before passing away last night around 7:06 p.m.
Last week, officers report 20-year-old James Lee Evans and the child's mother 24-year-old Jamacia Lyons were arrested.
They are now facing upgraded charges after the death of the child.
Officers report Evans and Lyons are both facing 2nd-degree homicide charges.

Evans was out on bond for a gang activity charge and theft by receiving when the shooting happened Thursday.
