A 4-month-old is dead and her father is now charged with her murder after reportedly falling on top of her while under the influence of Fentanyl, and remaining there until she died.

According to Lebanon Police, the crime occurred several months ago when investigators were called out on April 3 to the Travel Inn. When they arrived, they found the unresponsive infant and a disoriented 38-year-old Jesse Wayne Craddock.

CPR was administered to the infant and both were transported by ambulance to Vanderbilt Wilson County Medical Center where the infant was pronounced dead. Craddock was treated and released into police custody after he was found to be in possession of suspected narcotics.

The child had been left in the care of Craddock while her mother was at work. An autopsy on the girl revealed she had died from asphyxiation.

Craddock was indicted by a grand jury and charged with first degree felony murder, aggravated child abuse and neglect, and simple possession of a schedule II drug (Fentanyl). He is already serving time in Wilson County Jail for a violation of probation

Hmmm... By the look of his battered face it would appear he was not cooperative with LE or Mom got to him first. Talk about someone's nose being out of joint, he has had his broken a time or two based on it's trajectory.

From personal experience* I think that's more from when he nodded out and he face-planted on the floor.

* - How do I know this??? The first time I sold blood plasma I passed out while waiting in line to get paid.
Landed on my knees then face-planted on the carpet, getting rug burns when my ass followed...

A Wilson County jury has convicted a father who experienced a drug overdose in 2021 that caused him to fall on his 4-month-old daughter, killing her.
Jesse Wayne Craddock, 40, was found guilty on Thursday of first-degree murder during perpetration of aggravated child neglect, aggravated child neglect, and a fentanyl related drug charge.

Investigators say Craddock fell on top of the child while under the influence of fentanyl and remained there as the child passed away, according to police.
Video showed Craddock was on top of the child for approximately 13 minutes. The child died from asphyxiation, prosecutors said.
Craddock is already in prison on a probation violation, prosecutors said.

The death occurred at a Travel Inn on Murfreesboro Road. The infant was found unresponsive and Craddock was disoriented, according to police at that time.

The infant was in Craddock's care while the mother was at work, police said.
