Six-week old twin babies died in their Queens apartment Thursday, and authorities are questioning their mother, police sources told the Daily News.

Police and medics found the children, Dakota and Dallas Bentley, inside the family’s Woodside Houses apartment on 51st St. just after 3 p.m.

“I do not want them,” the twins’ mother told arriving officers, a police source said.

Officers found the boy in a crib, lifeless with visible stab wounds, said NYPD Housing Bureau Chief David Barrere.

“Officers questioned the mother about the second baby, and she pointed towards the sink,” Barrere said. “Officers discovered a second child, under the sink area, wrapped in a blanket. It was also unconscious and unresponsive.”

Sources said the girl was discovered in a cabinet.

Both children were declared dead at the scene.

Police recovered a knife in the apartment, Barrere said.

Police went to the home after a concerned relative called 911. The relative had spoken to the childrens’ mother and became worried about the twins, Barrere said.

The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner, but at least one of the children looked discolored, sources said. The deaths are considered suspicious.

The 23-year-old mother is being questioned at the 114th Precinct.

Danezja Kilpatrick, 23, was charged less than 24 hours after officers with the New York Police Department discovered the six-week-old twins, a boy and a girl, inside the Woodside Houses on 51st Street and 32nd Avenue.

Kilpatrick has been charged with two counts of murder, two counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child and one count of criminal possession of a weapon.

Sources said the mother appeared agitated when police arrived to the scene, the New York Post reported. 'I can't take it anymore,' she told police, according to the Post.

Police records show she was accused in at least one domestic violence incident involving her sister.

“She loved them,” the murder suspect’s distraught sister Quanteya Kilpatrick told the Daily News Friday. “She never gave me a feeling that she didn’t. She always suffered from (mental illness) but I never saw her struggle with it while the babies were there.”

While Quanteya Kilpatrick said she never thought Danezja would injure the the kids, she recalled something seemed wrong with her sister on the day of the killings. After Danezja blocked her calls Thursday morning, the elder sibling went to Queens — where her sister initially locked her out.

“As soon as I walked in I knew something was off,” recalled the 39-year-old Quanteya. “Something was giving me bad vibes ... There were no baby clothes, no baby bottles. She told me the babies were with their father.”

The suspect’s concerned cousin Keywona Llanos, an NYPD housing officer, then called 911 following her own worrisome conversation with the mother, cops said.

Sister Quanteya remembered cuddling her niece and nephew during her frequent visits to the home as she struggled to come to grips with the arrest of her sister and the shocking loss of the two infants.

“I just don’t know what happened,” she said. “I loved them so much. They were the best. I would have done anything for them.”

“I didn’t want them anymore,” said Kilpatrick, 23, told police at the 51st St. home, prosecutors said. “They are dead.”

At first, prosecutors said, the mother tried unsuccessfully to poison the 46-day-old infants by mixing Pine Sol into their milk. She then placed Dakota face down in the bathtub, running hot water over the baby’s back until the tiny girl stopped crying.

Kilpatrick wrapped the infant in a blanket, stuffed her into a plastic bag and laid the body beneath the kitchen sink, according to prosecutors.

She next placed little Dallas face-down in his bassinet and pushed a knife into the back of his neck, then laid a blanket over his corpse, prosecutors said.

Though the bodies were found Thursday after the accused killer’s cousin called police for a wellness check, prosecutors said the deaths possibly took place as early as Monday.

Kilpatrick was also placed under a doctor’s care while in custody on charges of murder, endangering the welfare of a child and weapons possession.
