As 6-year-old Zymere Perkins lay dying from a brutal beating by his mom’s boyfriend, she spent 10 minutes putting on her makeup and a wig before taking the child to the hospital.

The shocking disclosure came as Geraldine Perkins recounted the horrific last 24 hours of Zymere’s short but unbearably cruel life while testifying in ex Rysheim Smith’s murder trial in Manhattan Supreme Court.

“Why’d you do that?” Assistant DA Kerry O’Connell asked Perkins, 29, of her heartless beauty routine.

“Because I’m very self-conscious how I look outside,” she replied.

The boy was unconscious and likely already dead, according to prosecutors.

On Sept. 25, 2016, one day before the child died, Perkins and Smith dined on Chinese takeout in front of Zymere, who was forbidden food or water as a punishment. He had gotten into trouble, Perkins said — though she couldn’t remember the transgression.

That night, the child, hungry and filthy, curled up on the living room floor alone and went to sleep.

Perkins said she heard Zymere awake in the middle of the night.

“At first I thought it was a mouse — but it was him in the living room, eating out of the garbage,” she said.

She chastised the starving child and snatched away the trash bag.

The next morning, Smith discovered that Zymere had defecated in the living room and grew enraged. “He was scared, he didn’t say nothing,” Perkins recalled of her son’s demeanor. “He was shaking.”

Unmoved, Perkins also berated the child, whose underwear and shirt were smeared with feces.

A Manhattan jury on Wednesday found the ex-boyfriend of 6-year-old Zymere Perkins’ mother guilty for beating the boy to death in 2016.

Rysheim Smith, 49, was convicted in Manhattan Supreme Court of second-degree murder, second-degree manslaughter, first- and second-degree reckless endangerment and first-degree assault for the youngster’s bludgeoning death on Sept. 26, 2016.

Rysheim Smith, 46, has been sentenced to 25 years-to-life in prison having been found guilty of murdering, torturing and beating his girlfriend's six-year-old son to death with a broomstick and steel shower curtain rod in his squalid New York apartment.

The egg testified that when she came out of the bedroom, she found her boyfriend standing over her son and prodding him with the sharp end of a broken broomstick.

'He started to strike him with the broomstick, beating him from his chest to his legs with the broomstick,' Perkins testified.

'Why the f**k did you take a s**t? Why did you take a f**king s**t in here? There's a bathroom, you could have used the bathroom,' Smith allegedly said to the boy every time he beat him.

The boy's mother told the court that she stood by idly while Smith savagely battered her son. Perkins testified that her son did not say a word during the beating and just lied on the floor shaking.

The little boy's underwear and shirt were smeared in feces.

She claims the abuse intensified moments later when Smith picked up a now-screaming Zymere, took him to the bathroom and waterboarded him.

Smith allegedly pulled down the shower rod and continued beating the boy.

'He was going limp, like unresponsive,' Perkins testified. 'I figured he was just faking.'

Perkins said Zymere had previously pretended to be unconscious in a bid to get Smith's beatings to stop.

Smith then allegedly hung the unconscious boy on a hook on the back of the bathroom door with his clothes dripping with water and blood.

Perkins claims Smith took her son down a while later and threw his limp body into a bedroom. The little boy landed between the wall and the bed, authorities say, and Perkins testified that her son 'looked like he was dead'.

The bio-donor was only given a 2 -6 year sentence.

Unfortunately I don't have any profound thoughts to share.What I can say is this story is horrible and whilst boyfriend dealt the fatal blows,(mother!?). I hate to even call her that not only stood by and did nothing even participating in the beatings on occasion she is out of jail and probably on her way to make more vicrims.Anyway little Zymere i know its not much but me and alot of other people on this sight care and are so sorry this happened to you.That is all I can say
