Police in northern Ohio are looking for Braylen Noble, a non-verbal 3-year-old boy who disappeared Friday afternoon from his home in western Toledo.

Crews suspended their search after dark Friday night, the Toledo Blade reported, but returned to the search Saturday morning.

Braylen’s mother said he fell out of a third floor window at about 12 p.m. on Friday, and she was unable to find him.

Officers searched the entire apartment complex and knocked on doors of surrounding buildings.

I'm having a hard time believing the story.

3 story falls are generally incompatible with running off and not being findable afterward.

I have an idea in my head of a (dead) child being somewhere outside maybe not too close to the area but also not so far, with injuries, maybe from child abuse, with or without injuries from having been dropped out of the 3rd story window by a caretaker. Not that I know or am accusing, but just saying, seems more possible than the reported event.

Saturday night volunteers say they found two suspicious items in the search for Braylen, one of them being a possible bloody blanket in a cemetery across from Hunters Ridge Apartments. However, Braylen’s mother says the blanket does not belong to Braylen.
A separate group of searchers also found what appeared to be a freshly dug hole in the woods nearby that had a two-by-four board next to it.

According to a witness, a police officer who saw the hole said it had not been there before.

Police stress that neither of these developments can be conclusively linked to the 3-year-old’s disappearance at this time and they are still investigating.

Boomp, there it is.

Maybe there was a change-of-mind regarding the chosen place of shallow burial. The search was getting too srs for their taste, perhaps.

Ohio’s been on a role lately, and not the good kind with jelly.
Most recently a non verbal three year old boy with autism, was last seen Friday. His mother believes he went missing after falling out of a 3rd story window at their residence. Now DO NOT question this whack-a-doo story or disparage the mother. Just be on the look out for 3 year old Braylen Noble from Toledo, Ohio. He was last seen wearing a red and white Micky Mouse shirt. (I’ll try to post picture)

Read additional information at link as family was so dumb I just couldn’t paraphrase anymore.

Watched the short statement. It looks to me like Dajnae Cox is acting. If I turn out to have misjudged that, I'll consider myself better-educated when the facts come out later.

I hope she/they did not somehow take the now-notorious abduction and murder of Maliyah Bass and the fact that her parents do not appear to be suspects as some sort of encouragement to murder/disappear Braylen Noble.

If I got this right, then I think someone who is training investigators could use a comparison between the two interviews as teaching material: Sahara Ervin (the real thing, Maliyah Bass case) vs Dajnae Cox (Braylen Noble case, does not appear real to me but still early in the investigation so we will see).

Toledo police confirmed on Tuesday that detectives are investigating further after what sounds like the words "I killed him," are heard 18 seconds in during the 911 call. Police confirmed on Tuesday that the caller is Braylen's grandmother. The words are heard in the background of the call from what sounds like another voice. That voice has not been identified.
