PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. -- A former Cobb County teacher has been arrested, charged with molesting a 14-year-old boy.

Holly Michelle Barnes, 24, was charged with two counts of statutory rape and two counts of child molestation.

Barnes is a former teacher at the Grace Baptist Church and Christian School located in Powder Springs, Ga.

Patsy Brown has grandchildren who go to Grace Baptist Church and Christian School. She's stunned to hear a former teacher is accused of molesting a 14-year-old boy.

"I've got grandchildren and children and I think it's terrible," said Brown.

Parents picking up their children from school are just learning of the arrest.

"That upsets me. It can happen anywhere; public school, private school, so you never know who you're with," said parent William Crews.

A spokesman for the Paulding County sheriff's office tells reporters it does not appear the alleged acts happened at the church or on school property.

He wouldn't say whether the alleged victim is a student or a church member, just that he is affiliated with the church.

The children's minister said Barnes was only a teacher here for about three days.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation into these allegations.

Sgt. Brent Miller described the actions as "inappropriate sexual encounters" between Barnes and the juvenile.

"We ask for any parents or children with information about this case to contact the Paulding County Sheriff's Office CAC unit," said Miller. "We are specifically reaching out to other children that may have been involved in inappropriate sexual encounters with Holly Barnes. We will handle each allegation in a thorough manner to ensure that the appropriate action is taken."

My wife and I are very active in our church and this is where the two of us met. Holly and her mom joined the church in 2000 and then about a month later I started attending and joined as well. Holly was 16 when I first met her and her mom and me were members of the Singles group...NO I DID NOT DATE HER MOM! Holly and I were friends and we actually thought of each other as brother and sister especially with the age difference and all. One weekend in September 2001, the singles was having an outing and afterwards Holly, Karen, and myself were all going to go to the North GA State Fair. Well Karen decided not to go, so Holly and I went by ourselves. After the fair, we went back to my house and talked and discovered there was a spark there. THEN, Holly started stalking me....haha.....but I loved it so much that I decided to marry her. Holly works at Grace Baptist Christian School and we both are active in the youth group as mentors. We are also very active in the bus ministry where we have a lot of "adopted" kids.

And B, someone needs to tell chick that if she has to draw her eyebrows on, she shouldn't stop half-way.

She realy seems like someone who hasn't grown up yet. The kids in her MySpace pictures are all pretty and popular looking, so she probably feels cool and young hanging out with them. Still gives me the heebies, though.

@Craygor my ex weighed 280 at 6'4 and he was a huge solid wall.. At 5'3.. That's probably hard deal with..
