Dad Stabs Son, 2, With Metal Comb During Argument With Child’s Mother

A man was taken into custody after police say he stabbed his child and assaulted his wife in Brooklyn Saturday morning.

The incident happened inside their home along just before 8 a.m.

According to police, the couple got into a dispute. During the dispute, the 26-year-old man took a comb with a metal edge and stabbed his 2-year-old son, puncturing his right temple, cops said.

He also stabbed the child's 24-year-old mom in the arm and leg with the same comb, police said.

Both the toddler and his mother were taken to the hospital for their injuries. The young boy is in serious, but stable condition, according to police.

Two other children were in the home at the time of the incident, police said.

The fuming father was taken into police custody after turning himself in and has not yet been charged, police sources said. He was being taken for a psychiatric evaluation Saturday, authorities said.

The couple’s two other children, both under the age of 2, were in the home when the incident occurred, according to police.

The tot was rushed to Methodist Hospital in serious but stable condition, where he was undergoing scans for brain trauma, police said.

His mother sustained minor injuries to the arm and leg.

The man is Jahvier Perez, 26, he faces attempted murder, assault and child endangerment charges.

The daily news says he is the boyfriend of the woman not her husband the ages of the other children in the home are a 21-month-old and an 11-month-old, that were also present during the attack.

Mom needs to get away from this man and never look back.

Mental health issues or not she needs to protect those children now that she knows what he is capable of doing.
