A paedophile killer has been sentenced to castration and life in jail after killing a nine year girl who he had sexually assaulted.
Schoolgirl Aruai Berik vanished after a dance class and CCTV footage showed that an unknown man had collected her in Karatu town, Kazakhstan.
Zhaksylyk Baydildaev was convicted of committing repeated 'violent sexual acts' against the child before murdering her with blows to the head.
The married 37-year-old then put her body in a sack and rode with it on his bicycle to a landfill site where he burned her body, a court found.
Baydildaev was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder but also punished under Kazakhstan's tough new laws for child sex attackers.
He was sentenced to undergo forced chemical castration.
Baydildaev had confessed to hiding and burning the corpse, claiming the girl had died accidentally after coming to his house voluntarily.
However forensic analysis of her charred remains proved she was killed with blows to the head, and that she had been earlier sexually assaulted, a judge ruled.
