Missing tot, Emma Leigh Barker, found deceased

This case is the reason I've been MIA. It is local and is taking up a lot of my time- but we will see that the monster gets what's coming to her.
This case is sadly lacking in coverage, especially with the local media's lack of coverage. Thanks to a dedicated and caring lady, she has provided info for us by personally attending all of the killer momster's court appearances. Also thanks to some other "insiders" who have also enlightened us with other info.
As for the local media- screw you- there are better sources than what little news you give out.
 
No. There are people following it on Websleuths and it is updated with what happens at the court dates, but the next date was 12/29 and no update on there yet.
 
Stacey Barker....Will It Be A Plea In March Or A Trial In April?

There was another pre-trial hearing in the Stacey Barker murder case, on Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Michael Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse in Lancaster, CA. Stacey Barker 25, is accused of smothering her daughter, 18 month old Emma Leigh Barker on March 18, 2009.

Public Defender Roberto Dager tells the court he wants to trail the hearing again until 3/22, adding that's 14 of 30. Judge Zackey said, "What is it you want to come back for on that date? I don't want to keep bringing Ms. Barker back and forth if I don't have to. " ...aw, boo-hoo!

PD Dager and Deputy District Attorney S. Kelly Cromer huddled together talking and then Dager said "We are going to put an offer on the table." Zackey said, "Okay, we will come back on the 22nd, that will give the lead Deputy time to review it. If we go to trial, we can still start by April 5, that will give Ms. Cromer time to do her other case." Kelly Cromer said she expected that case to be resolved quickly.

Dager asked his client's file not be sent down yet, adding he wanted her to stay there so they could talk. And that was it for now. This case appears to be advancing one way or the other.

I don't want to see the state accept a plea! If the plea turns out to be anything like what was offered before this bitch could be out before she's thirty, now how would that be justice for Emma as her life was stolen before her ever seeing her 2nd year of life. I say let her rot and be forgotten.

We're all pretty livid about the whole thing. I hope Stacey never sees daylight again.
 
Its really good to hear an update on this case. I think about this little girl on a daily basis, especially after I heard about how her bitch mother just drove around with her dead body in the car and even admitted to throwing a baby blanket on her little face so she wouldn't have to see her! I hate this excuse for a woman, she doesn't deserve to cop a plea, she deserves to sit her ass in prison for the rest of her life and be reminded of the pain she caused her baby and all the people she tore her baby from. Her beautiful baby girl will never be able to experience any of the things she so selfishly killed emma to enjoy herself. It kills me to think of emmas last thoughts as she was being smothered by her evil mother. She was so adorable and deserves more justice that she will ever receive here on earth. I pray her daddy finds some comfort in knowing that stacey will pay for her crimes long after she dies.
 
UPDATE 3/22/2010 - There was no plea entered today and the case was continued until 4/12/2010. The Judge said the trial will be soon after.....so unless they reach a deal in the meantime this is going to trial, most likely in April. Stay tuned.

If it were me, and my daughter accidentally died, I would have called 911 and found a sure fire way to kill myself. I couldn't live knowing I killed my child. I couldn't live knowing my child was dead. I could never bury my child in a cemetery.hy in the hell did this bitch accidentally kill her baby and dump her like trash. She's a fucking evil whore. I think they should break her legs and arms and dump her in the same spot she dumped her daughter and let her die there.
 
Looks like jail is taking a toll on her and I am glad her suffering has begun. What she did was evil.

I pray this is just the beginning for this woman and that the rest of her days are as miserable as the time she has already spent in jail.

LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) -- A woman who claimed her daughter was abducted from a Lancaster park has been convicted of the child's murder.

Jurors deliberated for just one day before they found Stacey Barker, 26, guilty of assault on a child causing death and child abuse.

Barker told investigators she was knocked out, and her 18-month-old daughter was kidnapped in Lancaster in March 2009. But her cellphone records revealed she was in L.A. at the time.

Barker later admitted the child was dead and led investigators to her body in a weedy lot in Sylmar.

A Southern California woman who claimed her 18-month-old daughter had been abducted, then later led authorities to the child's body has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
Stacey Barker of Quartz Hill was sentenced Friday in Antelope Valley Superior Court.
Barker was convicted last month of first-degree murder, assault on a child causing death and child abuse.
Barker told Antelope Valley authorities that an attacker knocked her unconscious at a Lancaster park and stole her daughter in March 2009.
Sheriff's deputies searched for 12 hours for the child.
Prosecutors say Barker later confessed that the child was dead and led detectives to the girl's body in a weedy lot in Sylmar.

I wasn't aware that this thread had current posts. I thought for sure that Barker bitch would get Life w/o parole since she was convicted of 1st degree murder, plus 4 other felonies related to causing Emma's death. She did get an additional 16 years tacked on to her 25 to life sentence, which was a "specifiably circumstances" because of Emma's age and other factors pertaining to that crime. The jury, along with popular opinion came to the conclusion that Emma's death was premeditated. The evidence proved without a reasonable doubt that this was not a spur of the moment, or a rash act because of sudden anger.
The 16 years added to 25 years at the minimum to be served- are to be served consecutively. Judge Zacky said that she will not be allowed any "good time" off of her sentence. He raked her over the coals and told her what a cold, calculating, heartless soul she is, and that he hopes she spends every day for the rest of her life having to see Emma's face, and that it should haunt her.
 
That bitch had about the same reason/motive as killer kc. Her current flavor of the month wasn't ready for kids... who knows what those type of crazy bitches real motives are!?
