The devastated owner of a cat which she claims was savagely killed by two of Peter Doherty's dogs says the rocker turned up at her home today - and invited her to go and see the animals.
Retired nurse Penny Ward, 70, said the singer's two huskies took her eight-year-old cat Archie while off their lead and killed it.
The Libertines frontman, 39, was walking his Siberian huskies near his home in Margate, Kent on Monday morning when they allegedly lept over a garden wall and snatched the pet.
Witnesses said they saw one of the dogs running around with the cat in its mouth before the other tried to prise it away with its teeth.
Penny, 70, said losing Archie was like losing a child and she said she would never get over his death.
She said the Libertines star visited her at her neat basement flat inside a mansion block in Margate, Kent but did not say sorry.
A bus driver who saw the incident told
The Sun: 'The dogs were tossing the cat around like it was a bag.'
A witness claimed the mauling went on for ten minutes and Doherty did nothing to stop it.
Penny said: 'It was not on a lead, he had no control over the dog what soever.
