Caden's aunt says the baby started coughing up blood and stopped breathing during a visit to his father, Ricky Lee Clark Jr.'s, house. Caden's mother, Tyrianna Williams, just wants someone to give her some answers.

What an absolutely adorable little guy. When are these boyfriends/fathers/girlfriends/mothers going to learn that hurting a baby is NOT going to make them stop crying! They are just going to make the baby cry MORE! This baby was so loved and so well taken care of...he was delivered healthy and happy to dad and in a matter of hours he is dead. I too hope this happened in a death penalty state. This poor little guy was tortured. The pain from the broken ribs alone would leave him in agony. The internal injuries excruciating on top of it...and the head injuries. This baby suffered so much before he passed.

Walk away from crying babies folks. Crying won't kill a baby. If you need a break take one. Call someone. Put baby in a safe place like a crib or playpen. Shut the door if you have to in order to drown out the crying. Go back every five minutes to hug and love baby...then leave again if you have to. Just put the baby down and walk away. Enough is enough. Babies are dying every day like this. It's insane!

A Kinston father charged in the February 2014 death of his one-month-old son pleaded no contest to second-degree murder in Lenoir County Court Tuesday.

Ricky Clark Jr. received a 120-to-156-month sentence.

His son, Caden Williams, died in February of that year and a medical examiner’s report released in August led to police reopening the case as a homicide.

The report showed the infant suffered broken ribs, a damaged liver and had serious head trauma.

Caden’s aunt says the baby started coughing up blood and stopped breathing during a visit to his father’s house.

“It was a gruesome murder. You shook this baby, you punched this baby, you slapped this baby, and then you didn’t get the baby [any] help,” said the victim’s aunt, Nakia Blackwell.

The family was forced to wait for six months for the autopsy report. Blackwell said the details of Caden’s injuries were hard for family to read.

“We sent a perfectly healthy baby away, and the next thing you know we are at the hospital kissing a dead baby,” said Blackwell.
