Police are looking for a man who they say beat his former girlfriend and two children with a hammer in their Sacramento home.

Sacramento Police say the Friday morning attack left the 7-year-old girl, 8-year-old boy and an adult woman critically injured.

They say 23-year-old Deandre Chaney Jr. had been in an argument with his ex-girlfriend before he attacked her and the two children with a hammer.

Police said the three victims suffered “major injuries.”

Authorities say Chaney stole the woman’s car after the attack and drove off but the car was later found by police.

Chaney remained on the run Friday evening and police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

What the fuck? He argues with the mom then not only attacks her but beats the kids with a hammer. That is beyond cold and pure heartless. I hope they find his ass and throw him in a hole dead or alive.

He probably saved her life. Had she gone to Walmart to buy school supplies, she probably would have been shot and killed arguing over the last notebook.
 
What a monster. This is way over the top. I do hope mom and the kids heal from their injuries to face this scum in court.

Police say the boy injured in an assault in south Sacramento last week has died.

The incident happened last Friday at a home along Melinda Way, near Florin and Franklin Roads. Police say a woman, a 7-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy were beaten by a man with a hammer.

All three suffered major injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Sacramento police confirm the boy passed away on Wednesday.

Deandre Chaney Jr. was arrested in connection to the incident. Authorities found him in Winnemucca, Nevada as he was trying to hide himself in a yard.

He is now awaiting extradition back to California.

Why beat the poor innocent children!!? WTF! So senseless. This monster is a cold hearted killer who deserves immediate death. The fuck about his rights, he forfeited them when he beat a mother, her little girl and her 8 year old little boy to death with a hammer.

Sorry but being a mature mother, I'm not dating or bringing any man around my baby who has a face or neck gang tattoo. Nope.

I just wish some of these moms would wake up... Now this poor woman has lost one child and maybe both while also fighting for her life.

The grandmother of an 8-year-old boy who police said was beaten to death by this mother’s ex-boyfriend told Fox 40 that the boy died protecting his sister from his mother's child-molester ex-boyfriend.



Deandre Chaney Jr., 23, attacked Dante Daniels with a hammer and lighter fluid, Fox 40 reported, citing a criminal complaint. Chaney, a reported violent two-strike felon and sex offender, beat Dante in the early morning hours of Sept. 1, while performing a lewd act on his 7-year-old sister, authorities said. The boy died six days later.

Dante Daniels never made it to his second day of third grade

Authorities said Chaney, at one point, turned the hammer and knife on the girl and the mother, who was reportedly out at the time of the incident. Brown told Fox 40 that the 7-year-old girl is fine, but will likely never see out of her left eye again.


“Trying to save his sister from this child molester,” Monique Brown, the boy’s grandmother said. “And that’s why he was beat the worst.”

Brown called her grandson a hero. She said the boy was beaten with a hammer “down to his spine.”

“They couldn’t save his brain,” she said.


Dante never made it to his second day of third grade at Oakridge Elementary in South Sacramento, the report said.

Chaney was arraigned on murder, attempted murder and charged with lewd acts with a child under 14.

My ex-BIL had to wear an ankle monitor for a year. He's a good guy and it was a one off but he did something spectacularly stupid. He got the monitor because the judge realized he wasn't a danger to anyone and jail time really wasn't appropriate but he did need to have some consequences for what he did.

Having said that - you're wearing an ankle monitor, I don't care what you did, you ain't getting into my life or near my kid.
