A woman is charged in relation to the death of an infant and dog after they were both left inside a hot car, according to Sheriff Montgomery with the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Montgomery released information regarding the arrest of 40-year-old Kristen Graham, stating that she was involved in the death of 11-month-old Myrical Wicker and a dog on September 12. A press conference was held on Wednesday, where details in the investigation were released.
Court records show that Graham was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with felony child neglect and a misdemeanor count of animal cruelty in the case.
According to Sheriff Montgomery, on the morning of Sept. 12, Graham received a phone call from a friend in Newport News asking her to bring her a pack of cigarettes. Her friend was said to have been taking care of an elderly woman, and could not leave the home to get them herself.

Graham then drove to Newport News to bring the cigarettes and some apple juice to her friend as the infant and a small dog rode along with her, the Sheriff explained.

Graham returned home a few hours later where, and according to officials, Graham rolled up the windows in her car and left the dog and child inside.
Sheriff Montgomery believes she left them in the car for roughly six hours and then found the infant and dog deceased after she was woken up by a phone call later that afternoon.

Court documents show 80-year-old Paul Kudlaty brought the deceased infant to Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital in a trash bag. Kudlaty is not facing charges, according to the sheriff. Deputies were notified shortly after and responded to the home on Seaford Rd., where they located the deceased dog in a bathtub.

Graham told officials she has no recollection of the events that took place leading up to the infant and dog's death beyond pulling into the driveway and turning off the vehicle, according to an arrest warrants. The warrant also detailed that Graham told officials she had taken Gabapentin, a pain medication, before leaving to head to Newport News.

I was on Gabapentin for 7 months for a shoulder injury and it never did anything remotely goofy to me.
When it came time to stop taking it, there was no issue.
I just can't see it being a genuine excuse unless she did something stronger with her friend and is trying to cover it up.

Investigators say the girl’s death was revealed when a man in his 80s walked into the emergency room of a Newport News hospital and “announced to the emergency room staff that he had a deceased child in the back of his vehicle.”

“That vehicle was parked right at the entrance of the emergency room doors,” the sheriff said.

“The emergency room personnel ... then went outside to the car and in the rear hatch of the vehicle they observed a black plastic trash bag and inside that black plastic trash bag they discovered a deceased 11-month-old child.”

An investigation revealed the baby’s 17-year-old mother would “periodically” leave her in the care of Graham, “sometimes for weeks at a time,” officials said.

Graham had been taking care of the girl for about two days when she took her and a small dog along for an errand at 1 a.m. Tuesday. She returned home around 8 a.m., officials said.

“Once she got home, she rolled the windows up on the car, turned the car off, (and) left the dog and the child in the vehicle,” Montgomery said.

“Around 2 to 2:30 p.m. ... she was awakened by a phone call, went outside to then check on the child, who was at that point deceased. The child was brought into the house.”

It was then that a man put the girl’s body in a trash bag and took her to Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital, and doctors agreed she was deceased, officials said.

An autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of death, which could result in additional charges, officials said.

The identity of the man who took the child to the hospital was not released.

Why isn't the mom being charged with anything for leaving her baby with this cunt? And wtf did ol' Kristy THINK would happen to a baby left in a car for 6½ hours? It says she "went to check on" the infant.. over 6 hours later? So basically seems intentional at that point, no? Murdered the kid yet only charged with "child neglect", but will undoubtedly plead to something lesser and have the animal cruelty charge dropped (always happens in these cases) and probably get probation, if even that. I despise my country and how they don't take any hot car deaths OR animal cruelty seriously, always a slap on the wrist, if at all.

Having problems believing the sleeping story. Doesn't explain 'the deceased dog in a bathtub.'
The dog was in the car with the baby. I’m assuming she was trying to bring it back to life with a cool bath.
Who runs errands at 1 am for 7 hours?
Her “errands” were supposedly bringing cigarettes and apple juice (sure) to a friend. She stayed there a few hours (7 hours) then drove home.

So according to her the friend couldn’t go out and get cigarettes bc she was taking care of an elderly woman, but she has no problem asking a friend taking care of an infant to do it for her. That whole scenario is a crock of shit.

Not sure where the 80 year old man fits in with this story and at least he brought her to the hospital, but why in the world would he put her in a garbage bag? I guess maybe that’s how he found her and was in shock. Idk so many questions.

I'm sure "cigarettes and apple juice" are code for "meth and stolen beer", or something similar. I'm guessing the old man was just a regular John of Kristy's. She's gotta hustle to pay for those "smokes and juice". Or her drug dealer. As for the trash bag? Probably didn't want the fabric of his precious car to be stained by the leaky corpse. Just my guesses.

Mom is 17 yet has ridiculous amounts of lip filler? Is that even legal?? If she's not working, why was she frequently dumping her baby off on Kristy? Probably to party and/or fuck losers. Oh and gramma of the baby really seems to care so much: "This is very important to me to do the most I can to help out my child" Uh where the fuck were you to babysit while Mom went out and partied or whatever?

Hoooooly shit, what a fucking dumpster fire! To sum up the article below:

1. Myrical was the product of a then-16 (possibly 15 when impregnated) year old Arianna and a deadbeat sperm donor pedo (he's in his 20s).
2. Arianna's parents apparently weren't shit because she was living with her friend's family during and after her pregnancy.
3. Kristen LOVES the sauce. Like a lot. Multiple DUIs (one involving child passengers) resulting in suspended licences, mandatory interlock devices, the works.
4. Kristen's job is being a caretaker of an elderly person (who the fuck thought that was a good idea?), on top of a several-days-in-a-row babysitter.
5. The old dude that put the baby in a trash bag then took the body in, is Kristen's step-grandpa.
6. Kristen lived with her grandparents, who were home at the time of the incident.
7. Just as I suspected, mom dumped Myrical on Kristen so she could go out and party at Busch Gardens for multiple days.

That poor baby didn't stand a chance.

Family friend Tennille Shields allowed the baby’s 17-year-old mother, Arianna Wicker, to move in with Shields’ family more than a year ago.
About 1 a.m. Tuesday, Graham put Myrical and her dog into her grandparents’ SUV. York-Poquoson Sheriff Ron Montgomery said at a Wednesday news conference that Graham then went to a Newport News 7-Eleven to buy cigarettes for a friend.

“She drove to the home of the friend and stayed there for a period of time,” Montgomery said.
A criminal complaint filed in York County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court says Graham took Gabapentin, a nerve and pain medication, before heading to Newport News. But it wasn’t clear whether investigators believe that drug played a role in what would happen.

Graham told investigators she returned home about 5 a.m., the complaint said. But Montgomery said at the news conference that license plate reader information indicates it was about 8 a.m. She rolled up the windows, turned off the car and went inside.
“Ms. Graham also states that she has no recollection of events beyond pulling into the driveway and turning the vehicle off,” the complaint said.

Graham told investigators she was awakened between 2 and 2:30 p.m. from a noise on her cell phone. She went out to the car and noticed that Myrical was inside, foaming at the mouth, the complaint said.
Graham carried the baby into the house and placed her on the floor, according to a statement Paul Kudlaty — the common-law husband of Graham’s grandmother — gave to investigators.

Kudlaty, 84, then put the infant into a trash bag and drove her to Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, where she was pronounced dead.
A couple days before the baby’s death, Wicker asked Graham to babysit the girl. She didn’t have anyone else, Shields said.

“Arianna wanted a babysitter so she could go out with her friends,” Shields said. “She wanted to go out to Busch Gardens.”
Shields said Myrical’s father, a man in his early 20s and an employee of Newport News Shipbuilding, wasn’t much involved in his daughter’s life.

Wicker asked Shields to babysit, but she was unavailable because she was packing her home for a pending move. .

Wicker couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. Neither could Graham, now being held without bond at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
Graham has two pending assault charges from July.

She’s accused of assaulting her 16-year-old son, who told deputies his mother threw things at him and struck him in the arm, leaving a bruise. The boy took out an emergency protective order against Graham at the time.
She’s also accused of assaulting Kudlaty by striking him above the left eye in the same incident.

Four days later, the boy’s aunt filed for a permanent protective order, asserting that Graham “has verbally and physically abused him throughout his life,” causing the son to fear for his life.

A hearing on the assault charges and the protective order is slated for Oct. 4 in York Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. The hearing on the child neglect and animal cruelty charges in the baby and dog death cases is set for Nov. 9.

17-year-old mother, Arianna Wicker and Myrical

Hi my name is Frances. I am fundraising for my daughter Arianna Wicker. She is a first time mom, just got out of school not working and her 11 month old daughter has passed away unexpectedly. SHE IS GOING TO NEED HELP WITH EVERYTHING THAT COMES ALONG WITH BURYING A CHILD...This is very important to me to do the most I can to help out my child in this time of need.Thank you God Bless.....Sorry if this sounds short and harsh but I'm at a loss for words

The sheriff added that Graham has given conflicting accounts of why the child and dog were left in the vehicle.

‘She would initially have us believe that she was in the vehicle along with the child and the dog for that duration of time,’ he said. ‘Our evidence that we have collected doesn’t support that information. We believe that she left them, went in the house, went to sleep and came back out 6 hours later.’

He said that the office was investigating if she deliberately went into the house and left them both in the car.

Murder for sure. Gabapentin isn't even a narcotic or intense medication where it would leave you incapacitated or blacked out or whatever she's trying to insinuate. Piss poor excuse. Such bullshit the law lets these morons off with a slap on the wrist.
Gabapentin IS an intense medication.
They put my son on it for nerve pain after back surgery. It made him a totally different, nearly psychotic behavior.
He quit taking it after an episode where he walked around the center island of our kitchen with a paper plate, set it down.
Then proceeded to have an (out of character) come apart about who set it there instead of tossing it into the trash.
It's an anti convulsant they also use to treat nerve pain and can cause dizziness sleepiness and confusion.
He said for him it was worse than confusion it was downright brain scrambling.

I suppose I misspoke, medication definitely affects people differently. I'm on it for anxiety and it never makes me sleepy, affects my behavior, etc. Husband was on it for awhile too and no negative side effects or anything.

Dr. also prescribed it for me for a bout of shingles several years ago. I took half a dose and threw the rest of it in my septic lagoon.
I'll stick to Ativan for anxiety....

I don't get it. In my early 20's I decided to get together with friends and try something for the first n only time. I didn't take my daughter with me, infact none of us had our kids that night. All our kids were with their grandmas. Being too stoned and being responsible for children at the same time is no-no, bad idea and we knew it. We weren't going to get brain dead stoned like this chick. We stayed up all night playing spades n laffed at anything n everything. Our kids were safe with sober responsible adults.
The mother should be sitting in jail with her friend.

So then is Gabapentin a freaking miracle drug? I take it for restless leg, but it never seems to work. The one time I accidentally took two (I took one, couldn't remember taking it and then took another one ten minutes later), it DID knock me flat for about 7 hours. But again, that was an accidental taking of two of them, one doesn't seem to do squat for me!

Thanks so much! People ask me all the time "Why don't you lay there and rest at least?" Because that ends up getting me so frustrated about NOT sleeping, which end up being it's own cycle of misery. It's easier to just stay awake and go outside an smoke! More peaceful too! :cigar:

Iron supplements are worth a try. And apparently melatonin can make it worse. My son has RLS as well and putting pressure on the leg with a wrap seems to help a lot. Worth a shot. I hope you find some relief soon. So far nothing has worked for mine, and I have the weird one where the sensations are in my torso. Worst feeling ever.

i do the same and yes Gabapentin for RLS and it doesn't work for me neither as i have lots of sleepless nights and in winter when i can't go out i walk the floor :(
