A Georgia homeowner fatally shot three teenagers who were purportedly trying to rob him and two others on Monday night, officials said.

The teenagers — ages 15, 16 and 16 — approached the residence in Conyers, a city roughly 25 miles southeast of Atlanta, with their faces covered in masks, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office.

The trio "attempted to rob three individuals in the front yard" of the home, and one of the teenagers "brandished a gun and fired shots" at those in the front yard.

One of the intended victims of the attempted robbery returned fire, shooting all three teenagers, authorities said in a news release. One of the teenagers died at the scene, while the two others died at a nearby hospital.

Sheriff Eric Levett said deputies responded to the scene after a report of shots fired. When they arrived, the dead teenager was bordering the street and the driveway, and one of the other teens who was shot "was a little bit down the street, where it appears he was running."

Investigators said the three people who were on the Conyers property and neighbors have been interviewed, but no one has been charged. Levett confirmed two weapons were found at the scene and told reporters it's possible this could be a "stand-your-ground" type of case, based upon preliminary information.

Witness Carlos Watson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution he woke up to the "sounds of gunfire."

“I heard somebody yell for help ... then I heard it again, and that’s when I came outside,” Watson said. “There was one gentleman laid out and our neighbor Mr. Jenkins was helping him out.”

He said the situation seems to have been "a home invasion that went bad for the invaders," and said the community is a "nice area" that doesn't see random crime often.

The 3 fuckers were masked

Three masked teenagers were fatally shot after a shootout with a homeowner in Rockdale County early Monday, authorities said.

The incident happened just after 4 a.m. off Flat Shoals Road on White Oak Court in Conyers. The sheriff's office said the teens, two 16-year-old boys and a 15-year-old, were killed during an exchange of gunfire. It appears the teens were attempting to rob three people in the front yard, authorities said.

Family members identified two of the teens as 16-year-old Isaiah Reid and his 15-year-old sibling Jaime Hernandez. The two are brothers.

A neighbor described a Conyers residential shooting that left three teens dead as what sounded like a in what the Rockdale County sheriff said could "possibly" be a Stand Your Ground or self-defense case.

The sheriff's office has specified the teens were shot outside, and the incident was not an invasion.

Rockdale County Sheriff Eric Levett said the three teens were wearing masks.

"When deputies arrived they did discover masks on the young men. Again, that rose our suspicion," Levett said. "So now we are out in the communities, speaking with witnesses, speaking of course with the homeowner involved. And of course trying to identify the young men and notify their families."

Rockdale County deputies were able to later determine that one of the attempted robbery suspects brandished a gun and fired shots at the residents, but one of the intended victims returned fire

The aunt of two of the little shitbags speaks out (video at the link)
....
The brothers' aunt, Thornton, said the family is aching for answers, wondering why the teens went out in the middle of the night wearing masks, wondering why they would have confronted the other family, wondering if the teens had been shot in the back as they were running away, wondering why the three members of the other family--the homeowner, his mother and one other person--were outside in their front yard at 4:00 a.m., wondering why the teens would have walked all the way down that street to the last house in the cul-de-sac, wondering what ballistics tests will show, anxious to get answers about everything.

"I hope that someone can come forward and let us know what’s going on. Because this is, like, devastating to my family. There are three teens that are dead, now," she said. “And we all loved them.”

wondering if the teens had been shot in the back as they were running away

Unless there are some credible eyewitness allegations that this is the case, that is scurrilous yellow journalism.

"wondering if the teens were sucking each other's cocks in a down-low 'tough guy' gang ritual"

That's equally as valid.

"wondering if the teen's aunt was smoking crack, chugging malt liquor and fucking sailors for free"

That too.

See the issue here, Reporter Dude?

"I hope that someone can come forward and let us know what’s going on."

1 + 1 = 2, ma'am.

It’s not self defense if they’re running away.
Thats not true. Law makes a very clear distinction on that. It is self defense however it isnt covered by the stand your ground/castle law. There's also loop holes to that that can be used. They opened fire on them first. Them turning their backs doesn't necessarily equal the threat being over. Someone fires at you and the first thing you are going to do is turn around. Doesn't mean they werent still a threat or that they had left the premises when he shot the kids. One of them was dropped right on the property line. The other was found down the street because he was able to run after being shot.

What is there to wonder about?
wondering why the teens went out in the middle of the night wearing masks
to commit a robbery

wondering why they would have confronted the other family
to rob them

wondering if the teens had been shot in the back as they were running away
doesn't matter

wondering why the three members of the other family were outside in their front yard at 4:00 a.m.
because none of your fucking business

wondering why the teens would have walked all the way down that street to the last house in the cul-de-sac
again, to commit a robbery

You can love your little criminals all you want. Doesn't make them any less criminal.

You didn't love them enough, that's for sure. If you had loved them you would have made sure they didn't lead the kind of lives that get them killed at 15 & 16 years old, wearing masks, shooting at people on their own property at 4 am in a sleepy Southern town. Bangin' and thuggin', be it overlooked, allowed or encouraged, ain't no way to show anyone any love...

This really pisses me off. Because it is a terrible waste. We needed these boys. We needed them to grow up to be good men, hard workers, loyal husbands, devoted fathers. So yes, I'm angered at the waste of three lives, but I'm not going to pretend those lives were wasted on that night at 4 AM. I can't tell you precisely when that wasting started, but I can tell you that by the time they were out at 4 AM on a school day, looking for someone to rob, it was already all but completed, awaiting only that final consummation.

3rd fucktard has been identified. Brandon Gresham was the name of the thieving dumbass.

A memorial was held for the 3 masked banditos. You know, a memorial, the thing were people stand around and talk about a departed person's life, normally held for good, decent folk. In case you're wondering, they liked music and sports.
....

Their principal from Salem High School in Conyers, Dr. Brandi Johnson, spoke to console their classmates saying the boys were loved. She asked the community for prayers and told students there would be counselors to help them.

At the family home of Isaiah Reed, loved ones sat in the front yard writing an obituary Thursday afternoon.

"This is not about somebody who died from age, this is about kids doing the wrong thing and it cost them their life," said a family friend names Scoob.

Hector Diaz told CBS46 the boys called him their big brother growing up.

"Isaiah had a passion for music," Diaz said. "Jaime had a passion for sports. Brandon had a passion for sports. None of them was older than 16 none of them," Diaz added.

I am shocked- shocked- to believe these 3 would engage in criminal activity!

Btw, there is, unsurprisingly, a fucking GoFundMe for the 3 reprobate's memorial.
