"Officials with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said Alyssa Hatcher, 17, stole her parents debit card and withdrew money that she then used to pay people she wanted to kill her parents.

Deputies said the murder-for-hire plot came to light after another teenager told a Lake County Sheriff's school resource officer the 17-year-old Umatilla High School student had paid another friend "a lot of money" to kill her parents.

Hatcher's boyfriend then told investigators that he’d seen Hatcher Monday morning and she told him that she wanted to kill her parents.

When investigators tracked down Hatcher, she admitted that she’d paid one person $400 to kill her parents and then gave another person $900 because the first person she paid did not carry the act out, an arrest affidavit said.

Investigators said she'd stolen her parents' debit card and used $100 to buy cocaine before spending the rest on the murder-for-hire plot."

Alyssa Michelle Hatcher, 17, stole $1500 from her parents' bank account, and then used $400 of that to pay a friend to kill her parents. That didn't work out for her, so she paid another person $900 for the murder. That still didn't work out, and ultimately, her parents were never harmed. She told her boyfriend of her plans, and he turned her in. Interviewed by investigators at her home, the teen admitted to stealing the money and using it in her murder plot. She also admitted to buying cocaine with the funds.

The parents have decided to press charges against their daughter. She is charged as a juvenile (?!) with two counts of criminal solicitation for murder. She was transported to Department of Juvenile Justice in Ocala, Florida, where she awaits her next court date.

My now-adult son can finally admit that I scared the crap out of him after the cops called me. ‘Eyes blazing’ were his words— I can still feel that swell of rage. I grabbed him by the earlobe and marched his ass right down to the station.

My ex was so pissed that I didn’t even call a lawyer before he was questioned. Tough shit. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Dumb enough to file a complaint with the the Better Business Bureau because the first idiot didn't do the job right...

"But but but I paid and they didn't kill my parents. I mean I had to go look for someone else AND paid them more".
