Maria Plenkina has been detained after going on a week-long partying 'spree' leaving her daughter to die alone of starvation and neglect.

The tragic girl Kristina was found by her grandmother Irina Plenkina, 47, when she brought a birthday present for the girl's third birthday.

Irina immediately called the ambulance and police but the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

The distraught grandmother said that Maria had been in touch with her daily on social media telling her that she and the girl were 'fine'.

In reality the mother had locked the door on her daughter, turning off the water so she could not even drink, according to the Russian Investigative Committee.

The mother has been detained for two months and is under investigation for the 'murder of a child using extreme cruelty'.

The mother was 'not there for a week - from February 13 to February 20', said the committee which has taken charge of the murder investigation.

'She doesn't even cry, and shows no regret.

'She just says in cold blood: "Yes, I left, I closed off the water and left the child without water and food."'

Statistics have shown that the death penalty in the United States has absolutely no bearing on murder rates in the states that employ it.
I bet that would be different if upon conviction you got a bullet to the head.
Maybe not.
But I always get a little feel good moment when I hear another depraved asshole has been put to death.

Yeah me too ... I'm a little a little bit jealous that we don't have the death penalty here.

Does Casey Anthony come to anyone's mind?

What are you bringing her up for ... she was found not guilty and its not the same thing at all.

Casey lived in a house with running water, a mother who chose to see what she wanted to until

couldn't anymore, and a pervy dad named George that liked to fuck his kid, and grand daughter,

manipulate his wife and who even as his grand daughter was "missing" was fucking a search

volunteer, because that is what you do when you know its all a farce because your

grand daughter is stuffed in garbage bag and lying exactly where you left her, you go
'
and see if your dick still works.

Here's what I know for sure, Ted Bundy has not got out on parole and reoffended.

The death penalty will never have a deterrent effect on deranged killers, except to the one receiving the penalty. Because of class issues, I prefer it be applied in the most heinous of cases.

You're going to regret you went there, the rest of us will as well.

Looks just like my 3 year old. heart breaks

Now to contrive a punishment where the same thing will be done to this sorry excuse for an egg donor. But a week is not nearly long enough. I'm thinking years. Years with no human contact, no word from the people she thought she trusted. God, I am not a violent person, but I would stab this woman to death and watch her die.

It seems that the child had an involved grandparent- why didn't the mom ask her to take the child so she could go out.

The mother wanted this child to suffer and no punishment will make up for that whether it is a long or short sentence or the death penalty.

The death penalty should be reserved for individuals who are an extreme danger and cannot be rehabilitated such as Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy and other serial killers.

Oooooof, looking at the video at the link shows very clearly why this trashball uses so many filters. She looks like she might be cute under all that Snapchat..... but no. She is not.

I think I'd just skip posting pictures of myself entirely if I was so hideous that I'd have to mask my entire face to make it bearable to post on social media. That's so embarrassing to warp your face so drastically on the Internet when there are people who have witnessed your ugly mug in real life.

A mother has confessed to murdering her three-year-old daughter by leaving her home alone while she went on a week-long partying spree.

Maria Plenkina, 21, deserted tragic Kristina who was so hungry she tried to eat washing powder, a court was told.

The mother - branded 'evil' by neighbours - faces from eight to 20 years in jail for the cruel murder of her child.
The girl was found naked having starved to death in a cold room in a rubbish-strewn flat in the Russian city of Kirov, having eaten the small amount of food - yoghurt, chicken and sausages - her mother had left her.

Before leaving for her party week coinciding with Valentine's Day last year, Plenkina turned off the water in the flat.

A criminal investigation into 'murder with extreme cruelty' proved that Plenkina locked her daughter in the flat from February 13 and only returned on February 20.

Psychiatrists found that she was 'sane' and 'fully aware of her actions', the court was told.

Anastasia told investigators that she paid for her friend's daily visits to nightclubs and cafes, buying her alcohol.

Not long before her week-long spree, Plenkina had split with her boyfriend.

Confessing to murder but saying she did not intend to kill her, Maria said she had left food for her child but gave contradictory accounts and could not say much many sausages.

A mother who confessed to murdering her three-year-old daughter by leaving her alone for a week to starve to death while she went partying has been jailed in Russia.

Maria Plenkina, 21, was sentenced to 13 years in a penal colony on Friday for the murder of daughter Kristina in the city of Kirov, around 500 miles east of Moscow, in February last year.

The court was told that Plenkina left Kristina alone in an apartment with no electricity or water and only a small amount of food while she spent the week with friends.
Earlier Plenkina had wept in court as she said of her daughter: 'I loved her (with) all my life. I did everything to make sure she has all she needs.

'I took care of her, I loved her. I did not have a wilful intent to kill her.

'I did not understand I would come back and find her dead.'

Is there such a thing as the torture penalty? Because there should be....
Actually, what might work a bit better is to use some of the methods that criminals use: rumors and ruthlessness. Someone commits a horrible crime like this - make them disappear and turn up dead someplace. The only thing that deters crime is a more ruthless criminal. Unfortunately.
