Sean and Elizabeth Roark are accused of neglecting their six-year-old and their three-year-old.

Tulsa Police said the Oklahoma Department of Human Services went out to do a welfare check on the family and found the two children.

Court Documents say between March of 2016 and early December of 2018 Sean and Elizabeth Roark "failed to provide a safe environment and adequate food for the children.

Police said Sean and Elizabeth Roark severely neglected both their 6 year old and 3 year old daughters to the point their kidneys were shutting down they were so dehydrated.

Police arrested both Elizabeth Roark and Sean Roark. The District Attorney’s Office charged them with Child neglect.

Police said the parents blamed the children, saying the kids refused to eat, drink or potty train.

Tonight we're told the kids are doing better.

Investigators stated in court records that the children were "still in diapers, unable to eat and chew solid foods, unable to communicate and lacked proper hygiene."

Medical records show that the children were both admitted to a local hospital in December 2018 and showed signs of low blood sugar and their bones were showing, records said.

Court records state that the children had not been seen by anyone in the Roark family since 2015 and the children were being fed baby food and drinking baby formula.

The parents both blamed the children for their current situation because they have "behavioral issues" and refused to eat and take care of themselves, the affidavit stated.

I am waiting for stay at home mom Lizzy to say the six year old hates her and turned the three year old against her.

An old Face Book account for her

Yep, it shore do. And just look at all the fine folks it can connect you with. :p

I guarantee that no parent in their right mind doesn't do everything in their power to get their kids potty trained, because, if nothing else, diapers are expensive. Save your stupid lies for someone else. Those kids were probably begging for food nonstop.

After thinking about this case I decided I hated the parents even more than I thought I did.

3 year old's very rarely are fully potty trained but if my six year old was still having issues I would either reflect on what i am doing wrong or I would take the child to the doctor.

The same for the eating and drinking.

If the children did have any issues it was probably because they were anxious and afraid.

I work in a nursing home- I'm a nurse but was helping my CNA's with feeding since we were short staffed one day, and I noticed one of them who had just started was not really giving any water to her resident- I asked her to make sure she was drinking and she says "I just changed her and she's a heavy wetter, don't want to be here late again"

I fired her. But anyways, I think that's what was going on here, neither kid was potty trained and these lazy asshole parents didn't want to deal with the diapers, so they withheld food and fluids. I hope they are never given another chance to parent.

Good for you, @MatteasMama. My d-i-l works weekends at a care home that only takes women with cognitive disorders like alzheimers and dementia. There is only room for 9 patients and the owner started it when her own mother needed care. However, the owner has been slow to recognize abuse and slow to fire those responsible. I couldn't bare hearing about it and actually called the State a couple of years ago. Of course, the investigators came to the facility (which is a former private home) and interviewed everyone there on the day shift, but it wasn't really private and so no one told the truth. It was so frustrating and I told them I was sorry that no one had the courage to tell them the truth. My d-i-l wasn't there on the week day when they visited and interviewed.

I thought I was going to have to report again when they had a sketchy RN she hired to dispense meds. The bitch was not giving all of them and was crushing them up and washing them down the sink. Fortunately, the other staff were able to prove it to the owner and the woman was let go before I was forced to report it.

I was a CNA for about 10 years in LTC. You made the right decision. That CNA was trained and absolutely knew she was abusing that resident. Giving her a warning would just make her change her abusive ways so that nobody noticed. I've seen it so many times. I'm shocked that she so openly admitted it though. That goes to show her very low level of actual intelligence and awareness of her surroundings. She was probably so used to treating people like shit that she spaced out on the fact you were a NURSE with power to terminate her and not another CNA who wouldn't do anything about it. I never tolerated this bullshit. Those are human beings. They need to eat and drink and be happy and comfortable. Ugh ok gonna stop my rant now. Oh one last thing - these "parents" need to be sterilized. They're useless.
