The parents of a three-year-old Oklahoma girl have been arrested after she died from a 17-pound cancerous tumor.

Records show that 49-year-old Henry Clarence Lilly III and 42-year-old Bonnie Beth Mills-Lilly, both of Lawton, were charged with first-degree murder.

According to The Lawton Constitution, they both made their initial court appearances on Thursday in Lawton and are accused of not providing medical care.

Comanche County sheriff's deputies were called to a camper home when they arrived, the three-year-old girl was unconscious but breathing. She was rushed to a local hospital, where she passed away.

According to Sheriff Kenny Stradley, the child was living in the camper with her parents and six other children.

The state medical examiner found she had cancer. More specifically, Sheriff Stradley said she had a 17-pound tumor.

It is currently unclear where the location of the tumor was, what type of tumor it was and how long she had been living with it.

17 pound cancer tumour on a three year old ... that's like half her body weight.
Poor little thing ... her poor siblings. They have a dead sister and their parents are in jail.
Is this a faith thing ... some faiths don't believe in medical intervention, and i'm okay with that. I'm thinking that they didn't hate this child ... they didn't make her sick. They did not give her cancer.
I'm not sure of the law ... but first degree murder looks like a reach from here and also like they'll beat it.

Weird, especially a charge like that. Bizarre stuff. HAS to be more to the story

Should have a good defense as i cant imagine a kid with such an awful tumor having much of a chance for survival even with medical intervention. This isnt some kid that got the flu but the parents insisted on trying some nutter home remedy. This is a 17 pound fucking tumor. How you holding parents responsible for that?

Gotta wonder too if they lacked the financial means to get her help.

Fuck the mug shots, I need to see the tumor.

I have little doubt that a 17lb tumor in a 3 year old, regardless of it's location in her body, would have been highly visible and probably very painful to both touching the area, and just unimaginable pain for her in general.

He looks like the leader of some cult. Angry, systematic and fucking crazy!

And the mother looks like the ever happy, completely brainwashed/hypnotized typical cult follower who takes every word of her leader as gospel.

"Mah sweet little tumor baby went home to be with Jayus. She's all better now. Ih'm so glad I could be the insturment of God's will!"

This right here!
Yass, better Gawd's will than actually taking our child to a medical facility to find out what is so severely wrong with the huge assed growth she must have presented, not to mention the screams her pain must have caused.
Jesus be a crutch, even if the poor baby was terminal, at least she wouldn't have suffered with Hospice care.

The tumor didn’t pop up overnight at 17 pounds. They had to willfully ignore it till it was half the kids size. Why wouldn’t they be responsible?

An Oklahoma couple, whose 3-year-old daughter died on Jan. 3 from cancer and had a 17-pound tumor, is facing manslaughter charges for their alleged negligence, the Lawton Constitution reported.

Authorities in Lawton, Okla. responded to reports of an unconscious toddler at a camper home, according to the paper. The girl was unconscious but breathing and had a 17-pound tumor, the report said.

She was then taken to a hospital where she later died, the report said. First responders said at least six other children were living with the couple in the camper, the report said.

The child’s parents – Bonnie Beth Mills-Lilly, 42, and Henry Clarence Lilly III, 49 – failed to seek medical care for the child, authorities said. It was not clear where the tumor was located.

The couple was arrested and charged Thursday with first-degree manslaughter, according to the report. They face a minimum of four years in prison if convicted, the report said.

Lawton is about 90 miles southwest of Oklahoma City.

I wonder if the parents will go with a religious defense as to why they did not provide the little girl with medical care.

Since they ultimately called for help as the girl was dying it seems like that might interfere with that defense.

The child's existence must have been agony and bing in close proximity they had to have known.

A healthy 3 year old girl should weigh around 30 pounds. So this girl had a tumor over half her body weight.
That's pretty easy to miss, no wonder the parents neglected to get her help. :penguin:

Santa looks pissed. Mrs. Claus looks vapid as fuck.

I don't know if the tumor was part of her body weight or if it was in addition to her normal body weight...so she could have been say 30lbs including tumor (which means she was probably malnourished) OR she could have been well over 45-50lbs including the tumor (which would be pretty obvious as she would have appeared overweight)...

Reading stories here over the years, AND seeing the parents, I'd be inclined to think they were eating well and I bet those 7 kids were all under-nourished and the poor girl was underweight, even with the tumor.

A jury has delivered a guilty verdict on both counts against Henry Lilly, a man who was accused of first-degree manslaughter and child neglect for failing to get his 3-year-old daughter the proper medical attention.

The jury recommended five years for manslaughter and 13 years for the child neglect charge. Henry’s sentencing is scheduled for April.
During the trial hearing Thursday, Feb. 15, Henry took the stand, where he became emotional. He shared the events of the time his daughter was beginning to feel sick. He stated that the child was just being fussy and had a mild fever and didn’t think anything of it until the lump on her stomach formed.

Henry’s attorney also provided 7News with a statement, saying he admitted to the mistakes he made, without malice or negligence. It was bad judgment, not malicious intent.

The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office said the couple’s 3-year-old daughter died from a 17-pound tumor in her stomach.

Jesus. The comments on here with sympathy for the parents is sick! This baby suffered! Even if it was terminal, they let this baby die in agony in a cramped, chaotic camper. There's options for financial help with a severely ill child. The could have gotten her pain medication and a quiet room with caring nurses to live her last days. Anyone that thinks ignoring a child with cancer is fine and dandy because of religious beliefs OR because she won't live long anyway are fucked in the head.

I'm glad they got time.

It’s possible the district attorney perceived those meatsacks could have gotten her medical attention before the cancer became fatal.
