McKinney police confirmed Jessica Joy Wiese was arrested Monday and booked into the Collin County jail for injury to a child. She was a daycare worker at Joyous Montessori on Bountiful Grove Drive.

Police believe Wiese was responsible for the infant's broken bones. They are still looking into reports of injuries to at least two additional children under a year old.

It all started last Tuesday evening when Ariel Murphy noticed a severe bruise on Kairo, her 2-month-old son. When she and her husband, Donovan Grant, went to the Joyous Montessori school the next morning to ask about the bruise, they were told something strange.

“A birthmark that just appeared and the parents had never seen. And then it ended up being a rough diaper change is the story they were going with,” Murphy said. “And I didn’t buy it, so I immediately took him to the doctor. I’m like, no way.”

The story prompted Murphy to take Kairo to the emergency room, where she was told he had four fractured ribs on each side, ankle fractures and a fractured femur. Kairo had 11 fractured bones and a 12th injury to his wrist that doctors told her appeared to be a healing fracture.

McKinney police began investigating the school and Murphy said they recovered surveillance video showing Kairo being abused. Investigators showed it to Grant.

“I don’t want to say anything until it’s released, but it’s very graphic footage,” Grant said. “And as per the injuries, you can pretty much imagine what’s on the footage.”

McKinney police acknowledge they are investigating injuries to two other infants — allegedly at the hands of Wiese — but they are not saying how they discovered those cases.

Ciara Bogle has three children who attend Joyous Montessori, including an infant son who she said has been in Wiese’s care. She said she spoke with Child Protective Services on Tuesday.

“I had to set up an appointment with Children’s. He has a CT scan and a full body bone scan that he has to go to tomorrow,” she said.

“It’s devastating,” Murphy said. “It’s like you want to protect your kids so much. And then when you think you’re doing it or you have a school facility, a Montessori school that you trust. I don’t have any words.”

“No one could imagine hurting a 2-month-old,” Grant said.

According to the Texas Health and Human Services Department, Joyous Montessori of McKinney has had no violations in the past three years of inspections.

The daycare said Wiese is no longer an employee.

"It is very unfortunate. She has been removed from her job and she will not be coming back,” Joyous Montessori said in a statement to FOX 4. “We are cooperating with authorities"

It's pathetic if you work with children and, yet, have no self control. I understand getting frustrated but how could you ever hurt a child much less a 2-month old. Just kill her now. She's of no use to society and is quite the opposite of useful, in fact.

Take an 8 pound Sledge Hammer to her and do targeted bone breaks.
Ribs, wrists, ankles, knee caps, knuckles, jaw and elbows.

After a daycare worker in McKinney was charged by police for injuring three children, one family told WFAA that it reported that same worker a year ago after their child came home with bruises and scratches.

One family with interest in talking to police is Olivia Taylor’s, a 2-year-old who was pulled out of the daycare last year. Her mother, Jane Taylor, said that Olivia was specifically taken out of the daycare because of Wiese. “I saw her mugshot and my heart just dropped,” Taylor said. “All of that stuff that went on with our daughter came back to me.”

Taylor told WFAA that Olivia would sometimes come home from Joyous Montessori with bruises and scratches to her face.

When she and her partner Angeline Muse confronted the daycare about it, they learned that each time Wiese was the caregiver in charge. “They all started to happen while she was in the classroom,” Taylor said.

In at least three incident reports that Wiese filled out from June 27 to June 30 last year, she explained some of those injuries.

Like a “scratch from a fingernail, sitting at a table.” Two times, on two different days, she said that Olivia got bumps on her head from hitting a shelf.

Taylor said that the injuries looked far worse. “It looked like she had been in a full blown fist fight,” she said. “We no longer felt safe keeping her there.”

Knowing what Taylor knows now, she said that she doesn’t know what to believe when she reads the reports again. “When I look back on it now, the way Olivia was acting and not wanting to go around Jessica---those were signs and I feel like we failed her by not pulling her out sooner,” Taylor said.

Taylor also told WFAA that the Department of Family and Protective Services looked into their concerns, but didn't find anything conclusive in terms of abuse.

The school does have a clean record, and McKinney PD said this is the first criminal complaint against the facility.

Wiese’s court records show several minor offenses between September of 2015 and January of 2017, including failure require school attendance, parent contributing to non-attendance and failure to appear in court.

MCKINNEY, Texas - Police in McKinney say there are more charges for the daycare worker accused of abusing children in her care.
[....]
There are now seven additional child victims she is charged with injuring.

McKinney police say investigators reviewed video from the Montessori School where Wiese worked and learned about the additional incidents. She is now charged with 8 felony counts of injury to a child.

Ariel Murphy, the mother of a now 3-month-old son, first noticed a severe bruise on her son in December. When she took her child to the hospital, she learned he had 11 fractured bones and a 12th injury to his wrist that doctors said appeared to be a healing fracture. Police say the injuries occurred at the Montessori School.

Murphy says she still gets nightmares that she’s enduring the pain her son, Kairo, must have felt in Weise’s care.

Wiese was first arrested early last month for Kairo's injuries and charged with injury to a child. Since then, McKinney police say they've been reviewing more surveillance video from the daycare. They did not do any on-camera interviews but say the evidence they found resulted in an additional seven counts of injury to a child related to children at the daycare.

“My first reaction was I hope that they’re okay. I hope they’re going to be okay. I hope that nothing happened or that we can fix it. I hope that everything is within the scope of medical treatment,” Murphy said. “The second thing I just felt like helpless. Like why?”

According to the Texas Health and Human Services Department, the daycare has had no violations in the past three years of inspections.

McKinney police are still asking any parents who had a child cared for by Wiese in the last 18 months that have concerns to contact them.

FOX 4 reached out to Wiese’s attorney for comment, but our calls have not been returned. She is being held in the Collin County Jail on a $525,000 bond.

If I ran such a facility I would be reviewing that shit constantly. It's unbelievable.

McKINNEY, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – Former Collin County day care worker convicted of injury to a child, Jessica Wiese has pleaded guilty to more charges.

Last month, the 44-year-old was sentenced to 10 years in prison for abusing an infant. She pleaded guilty on Wednesday to six more felony counts of injury to a child.

She once worked in Plano and Frisco as a nurse but was stripped of her license to care for anyone in a medical facility in 2015. The state board revoked her license for her use of painkillers percocet and percodan. They concluded “there exists serious risks to public health and safety due to use of controlled substances or chemical dependency.”

Wiese’s youngest victim was a 2-month-old boy named Kairo Grant. His family said he suffered numerous broken bones.

His mother said Wiese’s former nursing background and how she lost her license should have been known.

God. This is my fear every day that I take my kiddo to her early preschool. Check her every day when she gets home and hate that I have to do that.

Since we have no racial tensions in the kumbaya wonderland that is the US of A, I'm sure this pure white ginger woman will be as comfy as a down comforter while she's stuck in a cage with the angry black criminal underclass for ten years for breaking the bones of a two-month-old helpless black baby girl. I have a feeling she's not great at facing down an opponent her own size - or bigger - or several at once. Why she chose that career is a mystery. Why the school didn't watch things closely - even just to protect the business - is a mystery, too. How foolish.
